Trump won the election because he won the swing states of Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania by saying he would rip up current free trade agreements because of NAFTA making a lot of jobs disappear in those states, and he wouldn't sign on to Obama's TPP, the mother of all free trade agreements. So they liked what Trump said. And they sensed that Clinton wasn't sincere when she responded to Bernie by changing her opinion of the TPP.

But Donald is a member of the very rich elite, who generally love free trade because it is in the best interests of the corporations that send money their way.

So the question is whether he will remain true to his promise to reject free trade in order to protect the non-elite. Or will he be true to his elite brothers and the republican party that loves free trade?

We will be watching.

Based on Obama's performance, and a long line of politicians, I'm not optimistic, but I will not judge until I see what happens. My guess? Big money wins, as it always does.

I have not seen anything to show he wont. Even today his inner circle has been telling the MSM that he is going to follow through with his promises. He is not a politician. I believe what he promised WILL happen.

Thats why all the radicals are freaking out right now.

Trump has shown that he follows through with what he says. Remember when he skipped that debate in the primaries? Once he makes up his mind thats it.

We will have a wall
TPP is Done
pipeline will happen
Obamas executive orders..... gone
Obamacare....bye, bye
New Trade deals will happen
Infrastructure will be rebuilt
Manufacturing will come back
Jobs will come back
Hillary will not just get off the hook even with a pardon
Russian relations will come back.... cant wait for russian made AKs, tokarevs, and makarovs to start coming in !
supreme court
Gun rights will be set in stone

get ready for a hail storm of liberty, rights, and good fortune for the American people.

Trump has something to prove and his ego will not let us down. we will be great again. He wont be stopped anymore than he was stopped during the primaries or general election. Trump is a force and has the will of the people behind him along with the legislators.

This is it folks. we are living in very exciting times.

Globalism is going down. Brexit..... USA...... next will be France. Nationalism and pride for ones Country, culture, and heritage is exploding.

The radicals can riot all they want but the revolution has started.

I just don't know. I would not be surprised at all to see him do so, given the points you raise, yet, wouldn't that be a deal breaker with his constituents? Wouldn't they turn against him if he did?
But then what. Big deal, they served his purpose by buying his populist message and he doesn't need them any more.

He will turn to the capitalists in the Republican party and move forward with the globalist agenda that ALL capitalists are working for and he will get all the help he needs from the more moderate and conservative liberal globalists in the Demorcatic Party, one of which is you know who.

three times today he and his inner circle have stated that they are sticking to the plan.

Trump does not owe anyone anything. self financed by himself and donations from us. They tried to deep six him all the way. They will be kissing trump a$$ for the next two years.

Your going to see how efficient government can actually be when they are held accountable for the next two years.

Trump is just playing nice during the transition right now.

go back to the primaries when he dodged the debates and had a wounded warrior event organized in 24 hours.

Trump makes things happen and expects results. the guy is a beast.

Trump will be like nothing you and i have ever seen. Just be patient until he gets sworn in. he is just getting his ducks in a row right now.

According to his stated policies ( ATS Thread on policies here ) he's withdrawing from TPP but renegotiating NAFTA. It sounds like we are going to keep trade open but are going to negotiate any trade deal to favor the US.

Nothing happens that the richest 10 people in the world don't allow to happen.

America was given two "choices" -- but were they really choices?

The top 10 in the world present us, the serfs, with the illusion of choice.

Those people see the world as a gigantic Sims or Civilization game.

We are but NPCs. In the end, the same results are achieved, despite the various paths we believe we, ourselves have chosen for ourselves. "The Matrix" might not be a computer simulation, but we are all very much lulled into a false sense of free will. Every decision and action you take is influenced...

Donald Trump, After Blasting Iraq War, Picks Top Iraq Hawk James Woolsey as National Security Adviser

Woolsey, by contrast, was a key member of the Project for the New American Century — a neoconservative think tank largely founded to encourage a second war with Iraq. Woolsey signed a letter in 1998 calling on Clinton to depose Saddam Hussein and only hours after the 9/11 attacks appeared on CNNand blamed the attacks on Iraq. Woolsey has continued to insist on such a connection despite the complete lack of evidence to support his argument. He also blames Iran. Weeks before the invasion of Iraq, Woolsey called for broader war in the Middle East, saying “World War IV” was already underway. Woolsey has also put himself in a position to profit from the wars he has promoted. He has served as vice president of Pentagon contracting giant Booz Allen, and as chairman of Paladin Capital Group, a private equity fund that invests in national security and cybersecurity. He chairs the leadership council at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies, a hawkish national security nonprofit, and is a venture partner with Lux Capital Management, which invests in emerging technologies like drones, satellite imaging, and artificial intelligence. Woolsey went on CNN on Monday and said that he was principally motivated to support Trump because of his plans to expand U.S. military spending. Trump gave a speech last week in which he proposed dramatic expansions of the Army and Marines, and hundred-billion-dollar weapons systems for the Navy and Air Force. He offered no justification — aside from citing a few officials who claimed they wanted more firepower. Woolsey stood by Trump’s proposal on Monday. “I think the problem is her budget,” Woolsey said of Trump’s opponent, Hillary Clinton. “She is spending so much money on domestic programs — including ones that we don’t even have now, and the ones we have now are underfunded — I think there can be very little room for the improvements in defense and intelligence that have to be made.” Woolsey has previously called for NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden to be “hanged by the neck until he’s dead, rather than merely electrocuted.”

Prediction: The conservatives who support Trump will make excuses due to some form of doublethink.

There will be rationalization with fallacious arguments, and "chunking" up to higher-level questioning (ex: "Trump picks the best expert on war in the Middle East, why are you bashing him for his wisdom?")

If that fails, responses will consist of flipping the argument back around on the accuser (usually with an unrelated, distracting topic).

Not with LOW ENERGY cabinet members in a Trump White House!

Globalism is inevitable.

Russia needs political revolution and to join the West.

He's draining the swamp, and filling it with sewage.
