New song from their latest upcoming album. I'm mildly excited about. Been a Metallica fan boy forever but the last three albums have not really been my cup of tea.

This song however is growing on me quite well! What do you think?

Both new tracks are huge improvements imho.

Stil feels a little forced , but anything better than st anger is an improvement.
I Dig the old thrash feel. It's like Hammet os back in the band!

I have mad respect for them as a band and brand but it's a bit hard to take them too seriously.. This does seem promising tho.

Ms. 10 !

I don't think it sounds much like their old stuff. I think it's a rehash of their wanting to sound current. Just my opinion. Maybe, just maybe it's a style they prefer, IDK.

I agree, vast improvements over ST anger and most of DM. Letting Kirk stretch his legs is nice to hear as well.

They could just play their first 4 albums at every show and still sell out everytime charging almost whatever they wished. Their brand is fine lol but yes. This album put them back on my radar.

I can hear parts of their old sound in this one which gave it that familiar feel, that's probably it.

Still i do like it more so than the previous albums!

Sounds like Megadeth, harmonizing guitars in the beginning? Very close to Dave Mustaine.

Another fanboy here. This sounds like something that would fall in between "And Justice for All" and the "black" album. Seems like Jason Newstead was not a benefit to the band or the fans. Although I REALLY love "And Justice for All" ,and a fan of early Flotsam and Jetsam, his(Jason's) contribution hasn't been realized on my end. I believe Rob Truillo joining the band has helped their recovery. Thanks for the share.

Meh, I would've been excited about it 20 years ago I guess. Sometimes I wonder if Metallica are secretly tired of metal, but they just keep going because it's such a good money-making machine. Most people grow out of the metal genres as they get older. One can only be an angry, rebellious teenager for so long.

You could have a very valid point. Even if they made a country album, I'd buy it.

Prefer it to the other recent song, I was pleasantly surprised. I just really wish they'd get a drummer :/
