Illegals and the rising hit and run rate

Just thought I'd open up this can of worms.

The numbers seem hard to find. I have my suspicions why. But all anyone has
to do is watch the news every night here in so.cal. And you can't ignore the
number of horrifying stories. The other night I counted four different incidents
thru-out the southland on one news cast. Four in one day all resulting in deaths.
So the news is flooded with this epidemic and glaringly refuses to speak to speak
to the undeniable cause.

In this article that doesn't mention the illegals we do find some numbers.

Los Angeles has been ground zero for hit-and-run crashes. LA Weekly reported that there were 20,000 such incidents in the city each year, with 4,000 resulting in injuries or death. In 2009, the newspaper reported, 48% of the city's crashes were hit-and-run, compared with 11% nationally.

And the numbers have only gone up since then. OBVIOUSLY!

Seeems like the older articles addressed the situation for a while at least.

Here's a sample of some of the bright ideas are leaders are capable of.

LAPD Chief Charlie Beck told a group of Los Angeles Times reporters in February that the state of California should issue driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants to help reduce the number of hit-and-run accidents.

These numbers blow terrorism and firearm related deaths in the weeds.
But I don't see any political protection preaching going on in this venue.

This has nothing to do with immigration status except that you choose it to be due to personal bias.

This shows that LA has a lot of hit and runs. Hasn't that always been the case? It also shows an uptick since 2013.

One story in your quotes says

Matthew Cordle of Dublin, was sentenced last month to 6½ years in prison for aggravated vehicular homicide and DUI in a wrong-way interstate crash that killed Vincent Canzani, 61.

Does Matthew Cordle sound like an illegal alien? Nothing in the article says he is.

You suggest something, but come far from even showing it is possible.

It did not take long for the PC crowd to respond.

Perhaps you should also compare stats for the other states with similar problems with illegals and see if there is any correlation.

LA should not be alone here if you're right.

The links didn't even lead to the conclusion. But people are ready to 'flag' meaning they think ilegal aliens are hiting cars and running. This is ridiculous. I could make a post sayingn they are eating babies,,,bet I could get 4+ flags .

In all seriousness, I would tend to believe more that ANYTHING relating to fuel burning machines taking a hit would result if less or distorted media coverage. It's part of the glue that holds the financial elite together. The same reason recalls are drug out to the max before actually calling them.
