So in the Tom Clancy video game 'The Division' basically the same location starts a mission dealing with an ied explosion. Coincidence? Also, at the end of the video the guy making it claims that one of the people in the game says: "This is no coincidence, watch your backs out there." What do you think? Is this a random coincidence or is something deeper going on?

Sorry if this is in the wrong category.

Yeah i found this one out today, made a lengthy post on the main event thread but it seriously does deserve it's own thread as it may prove important here's what i posted..

***

Funny you should say "Division"

This, is rather wild.. bare with me and follow this through as i think there's a puzzle piece here into the mindset of whosoever is behind this.

I am a gamer, and this year i've been playing a game called "The Division".. set in NYC, after a Pandemic.
The map was carefully crafted to be almost exact to a large part of NYC/Manhattan.

had the nagging feeling to check this myself.. but thought it a bit macabre and im currently on a "break" from this game so i didn't load it up last night but someone did and Dabboo made a vid on it (stay with me).. and it's legit.

Check this.

In the latest DLC, your sent to the exact location of the 1st bomb event and a IED goes off, and it's messy.
You find a phone.. take it back to HQ.. and the DLC opens up.

It's in the exact spot folks. If anyone here has it, and had that same nagging feeling.. log in and check for yourself so i don't look so crazy (lol) .

The perp(s).. planned this in a rather strange fashion, less of a conspiracy than a piece of the puzzle, but it's not even coincidence it's copycat.. and someone's playing games in real life

I've met some nasty folks in that game.. real "salt of the earth"/sarc types.. hence the bingo moment.. even warned the devs many times it was attracting the "wrong" folks.. and rewarding them for being everything gamer's hate.. it ended up driving a huge chunk of players away.
I'd not be shocked to see a big link here.

If you are able, you should make a list of the subsequent locations of explosions within the game. If someone is imitating the game, it could save lives.

Pardon my ignorance and I am unable to watch any videos due to 1870's internet speed at the moment..

When you say the same location do you mean Chelsea area or do you mean the exact location that bomb went off in?, as in building front and the same side of the street etc..

If it is either I would still say that the game and the bomb "could" be linked, but of you say it is almost the actually location down to the building where the dumpster was then I would be all over that as the chances of a fluke are fairly slim..

EDIT>> Just seen the post above, yes fishy as hell..........

Stuyvesant Power Station
Russian Consulate
UN

And the DLC just released which it's questioned this has been copied from is called "underground"

From what I gather the spot where the bomb blew is where the pin is to start the mission, but the explosion in the game happens a few streets away. But I only watched it once.

Thanks for the additional info, I tried to search but didn't see anything but threads related to the fact the game was going to be released soon.

'From what you gather'?

So you did not confirm this yourself prior to posting? How do we know if it is accurate?

In The division, The Chelsea bomb is located on the ground floor, in a 2 story building. An explosion takes place, you investigate it. Then a 2nd explosion happens from within the building making it impassable.
Then hordes of street goons come running you down with shot guns.
After you waste the bad guys you have access to the Underground.

Agent level 30, Underground level 40, DZ level 81.

He shows where he's at in the video game, but I'm not certain of the address where the real bomb exploded. He attempts to explain it but he's kind of bad at doing so.

Maybe I missed them but I did not see an address or set of cross streets in that link.

Police found another IED few blocks from 1st explosion (27th street I think) so scenario about 'Game Killer' is plausible IMO.

Our luck 2nd device doesn't explode...

The mission shown in the video is 'Secure Quarantine Center.' It's only available in the downloadable content pack (DLC).

Is the location the same? Maybe. I haven't seen this confirmed yet.

If the location is the same, is this coincidence? Quite likely. Or perhaps the bomb was planted by someone who's played the game.

ive beaten the division, and found it to be rife with propaganda, you play a federal agent tasked with killing anyone in the city that is armed, (excluding other federal agents) framed in the sense that 'only bad guys who will kill anyone' carry guns (again except gov employees) theres even an evil gang comprised entirely of former NY Firemen (who have decided the solution to the plague is to burn to ashes anyone they can find)
also worth mentioning is the only radio station broadcasting you will constantly hear anytime you go into the spots you use to save the game, sell, or buy gear, is basically just some dude talking about conspiracies constantly, hes a total ass comes across as violent and dangerous and when he mentions "federal sleeper agents" (which your character is one of them) he paints them as scary dangerous bad guys (though your character being one of them is supposedly a good guy) the obvious implication here is 'only crazy dangerous conspiracy theorists believe federal sleeper agents exist' and also 'if they do exist then they are good guys not bad'....
theres even one moment i noticed where the dangerous crazy conspiracy theorist mentions "yuppie scum millennial helicopter mom refusing to give her kid the goddamn measles shot? i hate those morons." yup even this asshole ignorant crazy dangerous conspiracy theorist is smarter then to doubt the safety of experimental vaccines...
can hear all those radio broadcasts here in this youtube video

of course all this really isnt much of a surprise considering the 'tom clancy' line of video games has long been very pro Merica, in the bag for the gov,

What do you expect, Tom Clancy is a notorious liberal. No surprise that he recycles all the usual pro-government/anti-gun stereotypes.
