Reports of multiple officers down in Baton Rouge - CONFIRMED

Seeing early reports of multiple LE agencies responding to a shots fired call in Baton Rouge, with multiple officers down. One road, airline highway, is shut down in both directions.

RT is saying 8 officers shot, not for sure how they came up with the number early on as other news media maybe 4 shot but either way T's and P's to Baton Rouge PD family.

Spokesman is saying the scene is "contained" but isn't saying if it's ongoing or not. SWAT deployed. Unconfirmed reports of 2 or 3 officers killed.

They're not saying, or not confirming. Unclear if it's an active shooter or something else. Only thing confirmed right now is there was a shooting, it's near a PD headquarters building, multiple officers hit.

Cowardly acts like these only inflame tensions.

This discredits any activism towards police violence. It makes the police the victims.

Its the summer of crazy, stay safe people.

So 8 shot and 3 dead?

If this was BLM sympathizers (it was) they really need to get a freaking grip. Setting back race relations 50 years in a few months not to mention getting cops understandably jumpy around lack people.

This is to everyone, not just BLM. Stop f-fing killing people you f-ing f-s.
