Been watching the live feed on reddit and other sites. I heard that he was on a plane when he learned of the coup and was refused landing rights at Istanbul airport. Sought to land in Germany, was turned down, and is currently on route to London.

Also RT is reporting the following sensational headline: "Ankara parliament building ‘bombed from air’ – state agency" When in fact, their own story says it was thrown. "According to Anadolu, the bomb has been "thrown" by the coup supporters".
I also learned that apparently, one of Erdogan's main opposition leaders is in the US currently under asylum protection. Erdrogan and his faction (military included) have been at odds for years.

The military is secular but Erdogan, not so much.

It's currently just past 3am in Turkey. Imagine the conversations in homes around the country that must be going on right now. Pick a side? Ride it out and hope for the best? What do we do?

I saw video with lines of police cars and ambulances gassing up at local stations. I also read that there will be an early call to prayer.

Imagine waking up to this mess...

Coup is certainly not over.
Both sides still report they're in control.
E is blaming moderate Muslim cleric in Pennsylvania....He denies.
Mosques in Turkey are calling for people to take to streets to support E.

Tanks surrounding Turkish Parliament Bldg.

E is about to land in Ataturk airport and tanks are on the way...

South China Seas, ME, Europe, South America, US, all the turmoil in politics.

Global austerity, massive cuts in public spending(in very key places) and of course the refugee/immigrant crisis.

Looks pretty much like the real deal.


BTW, in regards to your friends, am suprised the BBC or Sky news haven`t put a helpline number up yet. Maybe if you go the .gov.uk website there maybe some information.

You reap what you sow and what Erdogan has done to his own people and people in neighboring countries has resulted in the natural response of a coup. The people of Turkey are brave and will overcome the oppression of a wannabee sultan supported by the west.

I imagine this a go moment for the Kurds that have been slaughtered as well as the Syrians living in the land stolen by Erdogans thugs.
