What if the perceived GODS of mankind's (souls) is AN IS-BE? that can Create other IS-BE? That then generate this perceived reality for ETERNAL IS-BE to be manifested and or captured within contained inside humanoid biological Temporary form. And so YOU ARE NOT REALLY WHERE OR WHAT YOU PERCEIVE YOU ARE AS AN IS-BE w/ potential mind wipe, so you forget your past and seemingly don't Learn from past mistakes made. Making you your higher IS-BE self convinced your human only. Perceiving ONLY the material visible world, forgetting your ETERNAL CONNECTIONS. Making you potentially easier to handle and or be managed by OTHER IS-BE in different form, as you only think in human terms. Not realizing the GOD figure you speak of may be closer to you THEN YOU REMEMBER...

You mad, bro? Felt like taunting and trolling the religious folks this morning? You're on ATS, and we have a different breed of the faithful here. Threads like this usually make them giggle. Try again, with something more substantial and thought-provoking.

People are always being healed (including having limbs growing back, the blind seeing, the lame walking and people being raised from the dead, occasionally). It hasn't stopped.

The Catholic Church has hundreds of saints and each one of them has to have done verified miracles. The Church investigates them very heavily before declaring them saints.

Also, which wars, exactly, are being waged in his name?

All of them.

How come the bible is so full of miracles and wonders but God hasn't showed his hand for so long. Either its a conspiracy or he doesn't exist.
Where are the miracles of yesteryear? The walking on water and creating many fish from five. It seems than any miracle produced lately is debunked as a fantasy pretty quickly so one can only conclude god doesn't exist.

Nobody is healed, theres no heave, imagine taking responsibility for yourself instead of invoking some punishment that happens after death if you don't except the god of the bible. Sounds less like the loving god and more like someextortionist mafia protection racket.

CAn anybody show us examples of god? Why cant god heal people to make their limbs grow back or resurrect the dead form the wars invoked by those who wage it in his name.

If this was a court of law your god would be sentecened on charges of fraud.

According to the Bible there's a simple answer. In the first century AD the Jews of the day triggered a 2000 year Leviticus 26 curse. Said curse is still running. And when it ends it will go out with a bang. See my thread on it here.

LINK.

But as of right now the presumption you're making is premature.

Like when all them Atheist Communist countries go to war against each other (Bosnia, Chechnia, Georgia & Russia, Taiwan & China). Would they have been in the name of God?

War is like the conflict caused when a bully tries to take stuff that isn't his, only on national scales. It is always about power and resources, far more than belief.

War requires armies and infrastructure. If you want to find someone to blame for war, look to those who have armies or infrastructure for waging wars. Not for openly pacifist organisations who have rules like "thou shall not kill", "turn the other cheek" and "have no king but God".

It takes a special kind of logic to blame the pacifists for war, especially when you are most likely from the 'Uniited States of "let's go to war"'.

Their presence in nearly every war since the birth of their nation probably identifies them as the bully state who is the cause of wars.

They are the most war-mongering nation in the history of the planet.

Of course they want to justify their actions so they would teach you that they fight for what is right - the truth is that they kill for what they want and they could never admit that, so they 'educate' their citizens that the pacifists are to blame.

All it takes is a little reasonable thought to see through this obvious lie.

God bowed out of interfering in our existance long ago because we are not very nice to each other. Needless to say this occurred long ago and the only "proof" is a story in a religious book.

Classic conspiracy stuff.

In addition when very bad things happen to good people there is the excuse "no one knows Gods purpose". Yet another cop out. Needless to say I do not believe in God but should he magically appear one day I would have nothing but utter contemt for him/her for this reason : Many years ago a child was playing in the sand dunes. The sand dune collapsed and the child died of suffocation. Now that is a horrible way to suffocate as your lungs fill up with sand. The location was unobserved by anybody so God could have intervened and saved the child and nobody would know. Any being with such power that God supposedly has who allows a child in those circumstances to die the way they did as part of some "grand plan" deserves nothing but utter contempt. SO even if God appeared it would two fingers to him/her.

So, you don't like that humans die and therefore God is evil.

So you're saying god should not have you life because one day be recycled so other life can rise? hw selfish

God only exists in the gaps of science.

God is supposed to be omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent. He is the superset in which the subset of the universe exists. Science is an even smaller sub-subset.

Science only explains tinly little islands of knowledge.

For some things science can never have answers, it can't even frame the right questions (like in Ethics, Morality, Philosophy, Theology and even in History).

Science is only one small set of human knowledge.

God is all pervasive, both in the little that science reveals, and in its gaps.

Maybe everything is scheduled to happen at a certain time, and now is not the time for miracles.

Perhaps we see them as miracles for the same reason primitive tribes see smartphones as magical. That is, we dont know how they worked.

I dont think we fully know all there is to know about how the universe works.

I think you are right. Because everything that exists that we know of is related to the expansion of the singularity(Our universe).

The expansion of Our singularity (total universe) is a linar time frame. Everything that exists and will exist is all pre determined by the expansion of Our universe(singularity). All the Properties of what is,.. was formed the moment the singularity was formed. Therby Our future is predetermined, no mather what we might think.

What we do on Earth Plays no significant role when it involves the mass universe.

The answer to your question is that the Lord Jesus and the Apostles and disciples are all dead. Hardly anyone today believes in the gifts that the Holy Spirit gave to those that would do this work. Read 1 Corinthians 1:1-14 to understand what I am saying. I am not saying that there are no people who do have these gifts of the Holy Spirit today but what I am saying is that very few people do believe that this is needful today and is not taught in most churches. In other words the churches today are not truly Christian churches of 2000 years ago.

I would say 100% of the churches dishonest because they say they know the truth and don't.

The living lie of religion is a tool for mind control and not true in any real sense.

Mythology is fine, but believing it is true makes you unique from the original Christians who knew it was a myth and were honest that it is just lessons taught, a way of life told allegorically.

And 2000 years of knowledge and science has people taking it literally. It's humorous and Ironic.
