Donald Trump is the Fatty Arbuckle of American foreign policy. The only thing missing is a cream pie in the face.

wblm.com...

He has gone to Scotland (??!!!?) to laud the Brexit victory. The Scots, who are already fed up with him over the destruction of a nature conservancy related to an ill fated golf course project, voted massively against Brexit.

www.theguardian.com...

Republican White House hopeful Donald Trump has expressed full-throated support for the Brexit referendum victory at a press conference at Turnberry in Ayrshire.

He said there were parallels with the US and elsewhere. “People do not necessarily want people pouring over their borders,” he said. “The UK will be stronger for it.

“They have taken their independence back. They can block anyone coming in they do not think is appropriate.”

He said the outcome had reflected the will of the people. “We will embrace it,” he said.

He doesn't seem to realize that all those "dopey" people, like Hillary Clinton and the President, were against the Brexit for a very good America centered reason.

It will open the door to Russia and China to whittle away at American global prestige and American trade dominance with Europe by aggressively pursuing bilateral trade agreements with the UK.

This, the juicy bilateral agreements, will, in turn, encourage other "exits".

At this rate Trump, if elected, is going to turn the United States into a "banana peel" republic.

Didn't Fatty Arbuckle rape and kill a woman?

With a wine bottle, allegedly. That story is considered highly apocryphal and disputed by knowledgeable cinephiles. Trump, however, did rape a village in Scotland.

Time to edit the Venn Diagrams.

The NWO is unraveling.

Compared to Obama who came here to try and bully us into remaining, Trump is a flipping Saint.
Nothing but support and talk of forging greater links based on trade and a common worldview with America.

As a Brit, I hope he wins. He sounds the best bloke from my point of view.

All I will say is I couldn't disagree with your opinion more.

Hillary Clinton and the President, were against the Brexit for a very good America centered reason.

Are you # serious???? They were against it for very personal reasons, how do you think Hillary got RICH while NEVER having a REAL job? The only people that get rich off of Globalism are the elite.

I am happy for the UK independence and I pray the liar Hillary gets buried in the coming election.

Electing Donald Trump President is not going to make everyone rich at the expense of the elite, unless he is the most radical socialist/communist on the planet, and we know that under those conditions, the elite just shifts gears and becomes the KGB.

There were problems with the EU. No question about it. The elite, the bankers and industrialists, were out of touch with reality on the ground and David Cameron, presumptive prat of the year, turned to the well screwed public for a pat on the back and a mandate to continue the folly. Surprise, surprise, the public got out their golf score pencils and sent him into the trash bin.

Fine. I get it.

But the bigger geo strategic picture will be altered considerably by this. I don't like the NWO. I don't like the elite. I will, however, take them any day over the Russians or the Chinese.

Anybody who thinks that Donald Trump has a civilized remedy for this sort of thing is going to be sadly disappointed, I believe, if he is elected.

The leaders of the EU have got to do a major rethink of issues like immigration. They have been too hasty. Without the immigration headaches, I think Brexit would have failed. I think the EU is salvageable, but the bureaucracy has to be stream lined and a lot of exercises in pseudo "supra national" meddling have to be crap canned.

No, he did not. In fact he was another victim of Randolph Hearst's yellow journalism.

The jury only took 5 minutes to acquit him, most of that time was spent composing this note...

Acquittal is not enough for Roscoe Arbuckle. We feel that a great injustice has been done to him … there was not the slightest proof adduced to connect him in any way with the commission of a crime. He was manly throughout the case and told a straightforward story which we all believe. We wish him success and hope that the American people will take the judgment of fourteen men and women that Roscoe Arbuckle is entirely innocent and free from all blame.

In fairness, I thought I should draw people's attention to this article from the Chinese People's Daily, online.

It indicates that, on balance, China would prefer that the UK remain within the EU. Webster Tarpley has mentioned that China has been forging closer ties with the UK recently and believes that some sort of alliance between them was being strengthened. Others have pointed out that it is the UK connection which has allowed China greater access to the EU. They have been using the UK as a doorway into the EU for different purposes.

Some of this is alluded to in the linked article.

en.people.cn...

It is obvious that China was expecting the UK to remain within the EU, but I don't think that would prevent them from attempting to exploit the Brexit situation. It's just something that they weren't expecting.

Over all, the tone of this article is not sinister, which is something I have noticed in a lot of articles dealing with China's international trade issues. The over all impression, I have gotten, after following Chinese issues as they relate to other issues, is that the business of China is business, not funnybusiness.

Of course they want to grow and to prosper. The article seems to suggest that Brexit will weaken the EU, which in turn will weaken global business opportunities and therefore be bad for China. It seems to me though, that it is very believable that they could come up with ways of exploiting EU weakness that resulted from a Brexit. They are not going to be twiddling their thumbs while the EU/UK negotiators sort things out.

Whatever Trump does, it will be 100 times better for America than all of Obama's failed policies put together. Face reality, Obama weaseling up to foreign dictators like he does is a huge fail. Trump won't do that shet.

Freak Out Nation

Sorry for the Hillary bit but it's gold.

What looks more like a fish out of water than known xenophobe Donald Trump in Scotland? Donald Trump in Scotland amid angry protesters armed with signs, Mexican flags, and a mariachi band.

Obama is the current custodian of an American foreign policy that has been more or less seamless since Bush 41. His distinction is that he is slightly less gung ho and much more devious than the Bushes. Flying air cover for mobs in pick up trucks to topple Gaddafi was a money saver and that is part of the problem with the "Obama foreign policy". It doesn't cost billions of dollars that can be transferred from your pocket into the pockets Haliburton and its subcontractors.

Obama has a "Tom Sawyer" streak that figures out ways to get somebody else to do the work, somebody like ISIS for example. Admittedly, that got out of hand.

Big bluff Donald Trump won't do that sneaky stuff. He will get boots on the ground, money into military procurement and body bags on the way to Arlington. Vote for Donald. Let's get America back on track. Get out the black crepe.

Anyone who tries to sneak a missile shield up to Russia's border under false pretenses is definitely involved in risky business and Obama did try to do that.

Lately, with the shifting currents of strength in the American foreign policy establishment at home there has been a step back or a slight alteration of trajectory. We haven't had a no fly zone over Syria, thanks largely to cooperation between the Obama administration and Russia.

Donald Trump has said that "maybe" Saudi Arabia was involved in 9/11. That sort of thing has gotten play in the press more than at any time since 9/11.

What is going on?

Saudi Arabia has taken note of this and has placed an order for nuclear weapons with Pakistan. The Secretary of State has warned them against taking delivery.

Recently Iran bought from Boeing and the President has encouraged American business to make deals with Iran. That's a new beginning in the region and a welcome one. Obama has been more firm with Israel than any President in a very long time.

I think Obama is moving in the right direction in that region. I think Donald Trump will be considerably less nuanced and will be more likely to dance to the Israeli tune.

Israel wants Syria wrecked. Israel hasn't said so, but I believe that they and their ally in Azerbaijan want Iran wrecked. Russia doesn't want those things and neither does Obama.

I don't think Trump really knows what is going on. I don't think he is a bad guy. I just think he is a naif. Israel has a very Israel centric agenda and would welcome a naif into the White House. This should not be allowed to happen. It is too dangerous.

Trump pulls the strings and the media dances for him, giving him free publicity and granting him the least expensive successful presidential campaign in generations.

I love the way this man's brain works and I love the way he's conducting his campaign. It's a thing of brilliance.

I agree. He's a great promoter. I just think he is way out of his depth on the international stage. One commentator said that bad as Hillary is, Hillary in the White House is a "survivable event". He wasn't sure about Trump.

You don't know what you've got 'til it's gone, is an old saying. When Obama is gone, America will finally realize what they had. I think he is going to look very good compared to whomever comes next.
