It was an attack on the homosexual community (obviously heterosexuals were killed as well) so first it was an attack on American citizens, and yes on the LGBT community, but why? I wrote nothing of the sort and I'm not comfortable with what you are implying...I didn't compare or contrast Jesus and Muhammad. I just thought Sillyome was a bit confused in the first sentence in his post and then I agreed that the two religions likely share the same God through lineage.

Let me break it down for you again.

Mateen, when he was being investigated by the FBI, was not a mass-murderer or a terrorist. He was an American citizen, just like you, and just like me. He had the same Constitutional rights we all do. And the same rights, regardless of his religion to be unmolested by the government beyond nominal due process. He was investigated and rightly so. He was investigated and what was found was that he didn't have any real ties to these terrorist organizations.

You're claiming that he did. You don't have any proof for that claim. You have records of his fanboy fantasies about Hamas and al-Qaeda. He also apparently fantasized about the NYPD from his many "selfies."

My aren't all those very "masculine" groups that have nothing to do with the stigma of being gay? I'm not surprised that he "identified" with such groups.

Honestly, I would rather the full audio to be released, not a typed version.

No reason it can't be released. Unless they are hiding something, which clearly they are.

Accents, inflections, stresses in the voice can then be witnessed by all. As well as the background noise. Also, the public could at that point also verify that it is in fact Mateen who made the call as we have his showcase in the documentary The Big Fix to compare it to.
