Question - Why should NATO warships not sail in international waters in a Sea that is mostly populated by allies and friends? The Russian Black Sea waters (even with the annexed Crimea) are a minority coastline.

Funny considering Russia accepted the elections in 2012. Those elections brought the Rada members that impeached Yanukovych. Yanukovych "fled", abandoning his office.

There was no coup and Russia has accepted the elections since then as legitimate.

Secondly -

Sending armed forces into another country and occupying their territory, ALL before any sham election was held, is in fact an invasion. We see the continuation in E. Ukraine.

So yes, Russia invaded Ukraine.

Russia said recently they don't like western encroachment, and NATO has denied applications from Baltic states for that very reason.

But when Russia claims the ability to overrun a current Baltic NATO member in 72 hours it's not aggression.

The USSR was not a super state. It was Russia and their miklitary occupation of E. Europe. If you look at history you would see that occupation is the very reason former E. European / SSR's joined NATO.
