I gotta text my buddy the link to this thread. Were both full on trump supporters and I know this will brighten his day.

Refreshing news, thanks for posting one! I hope our optimism is not misplaced.

How do you explain the sudden change in relations with the Saudis?

I think he had something to do with that and he's not even president yet!

It's certainly looking more like Trump will win the nomination, which I never expected to happen. The media seem to be entering the acceptance phase. That said, I think the GOP will give it one last shot at the convention to put somebody in place who will tow the establishment line. We'll see.

As for the presidency, if Trump wins it then it will be the greatest victory in any presidential campaign in recent memory. It's truly astounding how he has managed to get this far. I never thought I would see anyone even threaten to take down an establishment that has been embedded for decades, never mind actually achieve it.

If bravery and understanding of the things that need to be done to win were the criteria for president, then trump would already have won.

hah yeah, they really swooped in didn't they.
And they are just repeating the tired old one-liners that are not the usual quality content in discussions here.

shhh. just ignore them - maybe they will drift away again

A CEO is not against the establishment.

Bravery and establishment? You're completely oblivious

I don't feel oppressed.
I work, pay my bills, doing ok.
I work for a company owned by a rich person, but he treats us well.
I'll never be 1%, unless I win the lottery, but I don't feel oppressed or begrudge them what they worked for.

ahhh...wishful thinking, but, thanks anyway....it's pretty bad when being "sane" is becoming a unique character trait

Work for? Or exploited people and are given special priveleges that we don't have?

You enjoy being oppressed, it's okay.

No, it's just some people think rationally and refuse to vote for an uneducated bigot that gains popularity by being politically incorrect.

What do you want free stuff?

I work my butt off and can barely afford life now I gotta pay for everyone's free stuff.

Nope.

Who said free stuff? How about not such large amounts of inequality in terms of wealth and social status? Help is not free.

Corporations shouldn't be given welfare assistance while there's poverty and poor standards of living in major cities.

Nope.

And Trump is the only one with balls enough to impose import tariffs and back us out of these trade deals.

Exactly. I paid my own way through college, working hard at the time.
Helped pay for my kids college. Now they are working hard to finish paying off the loans.

I have no intention of now paying taxes to pay for some other lazy people I don't even know who think they are somehow owed a free education.

umm.

I don't think that most of support Trump because "he'll bring down the Establishment".

He has fresh ideas, common sense policies and plans, and he gives us hope for the future.
He is the first candidate in years who says what is wrong, and agrees that things need to be fixed.
The fact that he's not a political insider is a perk, but it is not the main reason that most of us support him.

Actually, I don't recall him ever claiming that he is going to "bring down the Establishment".
He says that he will fix what is wrong with the way things are, which might involve some of that, but I don't think he is basing his campaign on those words.

What are his "fresh ideas" if you don't mind me asking? I certainly can't name any off the top of my head...?

He's not the first candidate in years who says what's wrong, but apparently what you think is wrong and what other's think is wrong don't match.

He say's he'll "fix" what is wrong (yet can't reliably define it consistently) with nebulous solutions. No one I know that supports Trump can actually nail down anything beyond this "wall" he wants to built. Why? Because Trump keeps shifting his stance and opinions on things, and never gives solid solutions with any real substance.

He's a personality candidate. People are voting for his personality, not his substance.

It is totally absurd that somehow some people think that people who worked hard for their money should just hand it over to other people just because other people think they deserve something for nothing.

Get a job. Work your way up. Work your way through school.
Many people have started with nothing and achieved great things.

You are basing a candidate off of "having balls"

You're blind if you don't think he's in with corporate interests.
