Michael Moore is one of the few ambassadors from the USA who give hope to the rest of this world that there ARE some witty intelligent people in the States, who see and and point out the daily nonsense.

Maybe this is wishful thinking...

You know, if I said the same things that have been said about Michael Moore in this thread about his conservative counterpart...

Oh, wait. He really doesn't have one. LOL LOL

Meethinks folks hate on Moore so badly because they can't seem to scrape together someone as successful at partisan movie making as he is.

Jealousy, it's a hulluva thing...

Well if you'd get out from under your shroom encrusted rock, you'd know about Dinesh D'Souza. Certainly has more class than the real life Peter Griffin.

Regardless Moores movie quality he & many other successful American businesses are expressing their secular rights to say....

Cognitively impaired reactionary religulous bigots are now pariahs in American culture.

That's right, just a heads up to all the racists, misogynist, homophobic or otherwise just useless mouthbreathers that invest our social landscape.
You're no longer welcome in polite society.

Here is some good news for North Carolina regarding their new bathroom law and boycotts.

www.breitbart.com...

Made me chuckle when I saw this. Moore is actually doing them a favor. I suspect more people will request him to boycott their states, as well.

How feel you?

I think that any and all decent, healthy people aught to boycott inbred hypocritical ignorant bigots!
Giving Moore the Xtian Republikkkan treatment means nothing!

Amazing! So, you respond that people in NC are "inbred hypocritical ignorant bigots."

Who is the offensive, stereotyping, ignorant bigot now?

They are out there...
www.conservapedia.com...:Greatest_Conservative_Movies#Documentaries

I don't think they get the press and attention for a couple of reasons. One, Moore capitalized on the great national tragedy of 911 to get attention for his movie. Without 911, we might have never heard of him. Can't blame him business wise for making his movie then. Since his 911 movie, his movies are flops.

Secondly, it is difficult for right wing film makers to get attention from Hollywood because Hollywood is a left leaning community.

Also, political documentaries are a small niche market. Not many people thirst for such movies. They prefer action, comedy, romance, etc.

My point with this post is that him coming out and declaring his boycott is like throwing a rock out into a big pile of rocks. There is no effect. It is probably his attempt to draw attention to his new movie and try to reclaim his one hit wonder past.
There was PayPal...400 jobs hurts. Springsteen...might have been someone that was hurt he wouldn't appear there. One porn site...really? Now Moore...laughter...crickets instead of people in NC crying because they can't go see the new Moore film.

I think he's kind of insulting his fans by even having to say it. Of course he's going to boycott it. Any decent person would.

I don't think this is what conservatives were picturing when they insisted that the "free market" should speak for America. North Carolina will dry up until it joins the 21st century again. Sanctions by the people, for the people. Delicious irony.

I wonder which poster on here is as successful as Michael Moore.

He has his viewpoints, as does everyone else.

But, he's actually done something about it.

Hiya Annie,

Have nothing against Moore exercising the right to do what wants regarding the release of the film. Do have a few things against Michael Moore as a brand however.

I wouldn't want to do what Moore has done Can't help but feel he has aided in the ushering in of the whole phenomenon of the narrative semi-fictional-but-not-quite-liable film essay propped up by the logic, 'FOX News misconstrues things, so why don't we?!'

It's the same noble lie logic that enables social experiment vox pops and set ups filmed for 15 hours with two minutes of content that spawn twenty terabytes of internet traffic.

I get that. And I didn't really take any side on his beliefs, only that he's a very successful person - - out there working, promoting them, and yes, making money off them.

I question the comparison of what he's accomplished to those slamming him with a keyboard.

Comparing him to FOX - - not sure about that. I'd say Michael is sincere and passionate about his beliefs. I would not say that about FOX.

Actually, most western countries would...do you still believe what you wrote about in your school essay on why America is the bestest country in the world??

they dont like him because he trashes the US and they clearly still shed a tear when the star spangled banner comes on. No one is allowed to criticise the greatest nation on earth!!!!!

I think Moore is arrogant and brash, but id rather have him around than all the morons voting for Trump.

Wait...he made a film about 9-11...and you accuse him of profiting from 9-11? what kind of logic is that? How long would have been decent for him to wait? 2 years? 10? 36?

I am not slamming him as a person. I personally don't know him. I am saying he is irrelevant to a great majority of people and I seriously doubt anyone in NC is going to be really upset that his movie won't be shown there. To me, it was silly for him to do that. It shows he is just jumping on the political trend bandwagon, also.

You think that people who haven't accomplished what he has should not express how they feel about his announced boycott?

Well, he has made movies. So have I. I have made lots of movies documenting my 3 year old's life. Will they ever be seen by lots of people? Probably not. Is that important to me? Nope.

That wasn't the profession I chose to do. Has he accomplished more than me or anyone else in their profession? Doubt it.

The only thing he has accomplished more is celebrity status, which I don't want (used to want to be a rock star guitar player).

Accomplishments? Pfft

You might be a better person than him. I might be.

Yes, thank you for bringing this up.

There is no conservative counterpart to Moore, because Moore is awful and his movies are awful. The only (ONLY) reason he gets any popularity is because the left wing media agrees and approves of the sewer waste he tries to pass as "documentaries". Any similarly talented conservative version of Moore would be ignored and not taken seriously, as Moore is with anyone other than lefty liberals.
