I am in Florida, and not sure how much my 'view' of the sky differs from other places, so -

- all I can do is report that it's 8:45 pm, March 23rd -

- and The Moon is a huge, full, glowing, orangey-yellow ball and Jupiter is just above it and also huge and bright...

...really hope some others in Eastern North America can see this!

Yep! Getting higher on the horizon. Got the bay window wide open. But clouds are getting thicker. Still quite pretty though. 😊

Side note: this is how the date of Easter changes every year. If anyone cares.
Hint.... it has to do with the full moon...

I was planning on a beautiful view of a nice full moon with a brilliant Jupiter tonight. Instead we have a sky full of clouds all day and night, tonight and tomorrow

It is gorgeous! So glad that your post (reminded/hinted at) motivated me to go and have a look.
Where I am there are wispy clouds passing in front of my view and it makes it even more beautiful to me.
Almost a spooky look...
It is currently competing with the lights of town and buildings but as it creeps further in the sky it will be even more impressive.
Have a great night!

AH the stars....brings out the inner pirate in me. The moons view on the sea, the stars to take me home, and the breathtaking silhouette of Uranus.

Little support checking in from Okeechobee, and you are correct, it is beautiful tonight. Makes me want to make a wish! I took the first picture two nights ago when Jupiter was right next to it and the second is from tonight. I didn't zoom on it or anything so it looks small, but it really isn't. Plus that little speck above it is Jupiter tonight and not dirt on your monitor!
that one. Yeah got it un under the wire!

Working on a nite shoot, on location, a mile high in the Rocky mts. The moon is bright enough to work without additional light....beautiful.

Love that second picture, especially that it captures the color of the moon!!!

I tried taking some, and they came out okay, but it just looked bright, the orangey color didn't show in the pics...

Great pictures, sad that I missed it, I'm usually pretty good about going out and seeing the sky when I take my dogs out at night. It's been cloudy this week though.
