Texture Magazine App. What magazines do you love?

I love my Texture magazine App. It's easily the most used thing on my tablet. I probably get 150 magazines for $15.00 a month.

Today I got an email asking me what other magazines I'd like to see on the app, and I told them "Mother Earth News" and "New Pioneer". Then I thought, what magazines are out there that I've never even heard of?

So what is your favourite magazine, if you enjoy them?

My favourites from the app are: MacLeans, NewsWeek, bonAppetit, Country Gardens, Harpers Bazzar, Country Life, Rodales Organic Living...the list goes on and on.

Give me your favourite and a little blurb. Part of the reason I enjoy magazines is because the advertising is easy to ignore, and the writing is typically good and interesting.

I cannot help you with hummingbirds but if you drive too slow where I live you can easily attract the state bird of New Jersey.

I'm reminded now that Omni magazine has been rebooted. I loved Omni when I was a kid. Also Popular Science.

That is terrifying, and nothing like any eel I've caught in Canada.

I wish this app had more science magazines like, Scientific American or something.

There are lots of kids magazines, like Highlights and National Geographic for kids. There's even a magazine called Cicada, maybe there's a clue in there.

Wired magazine. Though I prefer the paper version. I read it for the graphic design as much as the content. Really well put together with nice quality paper.

Others: Popular Science, Popular Mechanics, Sound & Vision, Car & Driver, and Dupont Registry (I can dream, can't I?)

Yes it is. First issue came out 1 July 1991; 24 years ago.

I enjoy "Fortean Times." I look forward to it every month and read it cover to cover as soon as I get it.
