I don't know if you ranting against conspiracies in general or just those who prophesize the end.

If its the latter I agree with you they do more harm than good and they just want more views on youtube "OMG 2016 END OF THE WORLD MUST SEE SATAN IS COMING" blah blah... attracts both the people who believe it and the people like you who want to criticize and disprove/scoff at it.

But as for conspiracies in general I do believe politicians are metaphorically the "anti-christs" as they function off of Greed and Power, not Change and improvement.
