I am still trying to figure out how Sanders can run as a Democrat when he is a self claimed socialist.

I think it may have something to do with him being an independent. If I remember correctly, he ran as a democrat to get into the debates.

If Bernie becomes president, he'll get nothing done. Unless he's willing to work with congress. That's his problem. He has these grandiose ideas but the presidency isn't a dictatorship, he's got to be able to work with people.

Not to worry, once this revolution gets in full swing, those in Congress who don't work with Bernie will suffer similar defeats when they run for re-election.

We're not looking for a POTUS who's willing to work with a corrupt Congress.

We're looking for a POTUS who's going to help identify and eliminate the corruption so that we end up with a Congress that works with him and for the people.

Go Bernie!

Actually, he's an "Independent" who describes himself as a "Democratic" socialist and he's been caucusing with the Democrats since his first day in Congress.

Maybe you think he should run as a republican?

The House will be impossible to get out from under a GOP majority, not until districts are re-drawn which is on some state government ballots but not enough yet. Still there are places where a Dem or Independent can wiggle into a seat. The Senate can absolutely toss the GOP majority out. As I said in an earlier post, there are a lot of people trying mobilize on the state level.

Exactly. Participation in Congressional and State Legislature elections is way, way down on the center, liberal, left side. That absolutely has to change and fast.

No no no! Can't think like that (the bolded part)! Remember, in 2008 we got Democratic majorities in both the House & the Senate. But back then and in 2006, when we had a majority in the House, Democrats actually challenged every election (thanks to Howard Dean's "50 State Strategy", which Senator Obama duplicated). Unfortunately, the current DNC has given up on this and readily concedes elections that they claim are unwinnable. But remember, these are the same people who thought a far left or socialist candidate was unelectable, which the voters are clearly rejecting.

I'm sure that many on the left wing don't even care about congressional, state, and local elections when both candidates support the War on Drugs, prop up the biased criminal justice system, won't support a living wage, protect the banks & Wall St, vote for more MidEast wars while slashing social programs, etc. I think the key to overriding the rigged districts is to get actual left wing politicians on the ballot in every one of those elections. The left wing has the support of the majority of nearly every demographic in America, but it's useless if Dems keep ignoring that and pandering to the right wing & center-right.

I agree completely with the rest of your post, though.

Someone doesn't want Hilary to become POTUS. Why else would all these stories regarding e-mails be out in the public domain?

She will be strong until the end, she's a Bilderberg, she has support in high places.

All will be forgiven. Right?

May be the Bilderberg's hatchet man Soros at work ? May be she has "fallen from grace".

I doubt that's the case. I think I read where he just gave another 6 million to her super-PAC last week.

Just goes to show that US citizens in general have had enough of the main stream medias smoke and mirrors propaganda campaign inferring that Hillary is the front runner.

It is my hope that the Bern wins NH, then the nomination, then the presidency - the icing on that cake would be Hillary being indicted and thrown in jail for breaching her national security clearance over the email / servergate fiasco.

One can only hope.

One is a political party and the other is an economic system. They're not mutually exclusive.

That goes for most presidents doesnt it? At least you have someone with the right mindset and principles which is more than you can say of any of the last few presidents or candidates.

But the real reason you should vote him in is to change the lobby (corruption) culture. If he can at least just put some decent rules in place to monitor it, it will be a major step forward and a victory for the people. More than any other change he can make to be honost, and which no other candidate will even try to touch.

And don't forget the powers of the presidential veto, presidential pardon, and executive orders. And he'd personally appoint the leaders of federal agencies, with the leaders of the most powerful agencies forming his "Cabinet". There are a lot of things that can get done without Congress.

How can he claim to be a true Progressive, when as a registered Democrat, the Democrat Party and the DNC takes big money from banking firms and corporate donors.

2008 was when districts started being redrawn to make it impossible for Democrats to regain majority in the House, in 2012 Democrats lost majority exactly for that reason. In 2014 Democrats lost majority in the Senate due to low voter turn out, that's where a good civics education comes in... Congressional elections cannot be thought of as unimportant. This is something that seems to plague more people in the center all the way to the far Left than it does Conservatives.

Neither can State and city/county/town elections remain thought of as unimportant. Going even deeper than that, people should not just sit on their asses and wait for candidates to present themselves, they need to be found... by the people rather than local business owners and major corporations.

Bernie excels at talking to people about these things. People really need to stop looking to Executive offices as the only important thing in politics. Real change will never happen this way. As President, Bernie can't be shut out of the media... unless media decides en masse to ignore the President of the United States... which wouldn't be too bright else they watch Independent Media catapult.

A new poll just released by Quinnipiac university has virtually melted away Clinton's lead nationally, and has put Bernie Sanders in a dead heat with Clinton.

Source

"Democrats nationwide are feeling the Bern as Sen. Bernie Sanders closes a 31-point gap to tie Secretary Hillary Clinton," said Tim Malloy, the assistant director of the Quinnipiac poll.

That's a huge gain in momentum for Bernie, whose been blazing the trail and gaining steam at a massive pace. If he wins New Hampshire, and I think he will, the tone could be set for him to knock Hillary right out of the box.

Go Bernie!!!

Why does it feel like Bernie will only catch up and it will be this "dead even" race from here on out? Like the corruption is so deep in politics, especially the voting system, its set up to make it look like a race just so the people are content in thinking they almost did it, with Clinton coming out on top, narrowly. I bet they let Bernie catch up but never take a substantial lead, a lead which is probably very real. It feels fake. Maybe its hard to believe otherwise because I see ZERO good qualities in Clinton. In her, I see corruption to the core.

This coming from someone who isnt voting, so what do I know...

Well... just because you've been told Progressive means something other than it's actual definition doesn't mean it's so. It's another broad word but generally in America it means a person who believes that government should work for all people to the betterment of society.
