It would be absolutely amazing to have a realtime, planetary gravitational (magnetometer)
disturbance "map" kind of like what the USGS GOES magnetometer data looks like, but transposed into geospatial 3d live data.

That would be asking too much...

Hopefully it's just releasing pressure and that's all they will get.

That is around the area known as "Oriente" in Cuba. Fortunately most of my family live around Havana. That earthquake in 1918 was right around the area these new earthquakes occurred. In the event in 1918 part of Santiago sank/fell into the sea. I am afraid this new event could be a sign of a similar, or worse earthquake occurring there. Really wish this is nothing. Most of Santiago was affected by the 1918 event, and most of the city lowered in altitude because of that event in 1918. If another event like the one in 1918 occurs. Santiago could sink under water.

Well I have some good news... Well, at least it APPEARS to be good news for the moment. But let us not forget Japan when I say this:

I have pulled the actual seismic data for the last 24 hours from now, and the fault seems to be calming down considerably. For the moment it appears to have died down into almost nothing. Yeah, there's a few fidgets here and there, but nothing like it was yesterday. I won't exactly sound the "all clear" just yet, but we seem to be getting there. If this remains this way with minimal to no activity for the next week, we're probably good. Probably. But I wouldn't let the guard down until several weeks have passed with minimal to no activity, if I were you. And even then, you never know.

But all in all, for the moment it's looking like tragedy averted, and bullet dodged.

Swarm of 8 small ones near Dominican Republic.

And a 4.6 on the NW corner of the plate, at 101.3km depth.

They were all around 10km before, seem to be getting deeper,

I have no idea, just making the observation.

I was hoping someone here would know.

There was a 3.0 quake 64 miles away from Washington DC. Chance this could be related?

No. And please let me take this opportunity to make a blanket statement, covering many, many comments I see around the forums:

Earthquakes are very specific to location. PLEASE peoples, get a grip, and please don't try to lump sum all seismic activity up into "worldwide seismicity is increasing, and we are all gonna die".

Not trying to be rude or anything, but with earthquakes we have to stay specific to the location they are occurring, and NOT try to lump sum it all into crazy doom porn. That seems to be a tendency around here and other forums, and honestly it is just...well... wrong. Sorry.
:

dude what if like the whole Earth cracked in half????? lol sorry couldn't resist
