What do you get out of mocking what others consider sacred at every opportunity?

I live on a hill, so I do not have to go to the mountain to talk with the teacher. I haven't got to talk to god yet, he is always too busy. I think he likes betting on things with Satan.

hate to answer for someone else
but
hopefully making them think a little harder
just because you consider something sacred doesnt somehow make it reasonable or worthy of respect
if youre going to be a an ignorant little turd peddler expect to be called on it

What do you care if what someone else is doing is worthy of your respect?

Because you deem it isn't so worthy gives you the right to be a nasty bigot?

The arrogance of you people.

I usually don't mock, but in this case, the very concept of the OP is entirely humorous to me.

i care because these people pollute the world around me like a swarm of locusts
its not enough to keep this ignorance to yourselves you must bend the world to your fantastical whims
you people take everything good and taint it dragging it down to the hells in which you dwell

how in the F%(* would i not care?

Don't be falling off that mountain in the dark OP. It could hurt.

I think Moses started to climb the mountain in the morning. He got to the burning bush right after dark. He cooked hot dogs and marshmallows on the bush while god was carving the stone.

OP is going to climb a mountain for some alone time.

How in the world does that have anything to do with you? Do you think you're going to convert him by being an asshole?

Or are you just doing that for it's own sake?

op is not climbing the mountain for some alone time
op is climbing a mounting to speak with a god

that has to do with me because i have to share a damned planet with you loons
i dont plan on converting him/her
that is the difference between you and i
im not going to try telling him the right way forward
but i will let him know hes on a dangerous and self destructive path that ends in a culdesac
and just hope he doesnt keep trudging along dragging everyone he meets with him

you make a mistake you should feel bad
thats how you get better
s/he isnt a baby and shouldnt expect to be treated like one

the truth hurts sometimes
thats how you get better

Good luck with that. Let us know if you find any imitation ipads that are called tablets or perhaps a new set of ten commandments saying fight with your neighbours kill your neighbour's, take there oil etc.

Don't you call me crazy, my last thread got so much appreciation and one person even asked me if I would be their president

So if I am crazy then ALL OF YOU are crazy okay.

Listen

I am preparing to climb a mountain, alone, at night.

I have some serious stuff to talk to God about, yes I know you can reach out to God from a parking lot.

But climbing a mountain at night is so much more serious and in your face (God's face)

I am gonna give God a speech like it never received since at least 4000 years ago.

Hopefully God won't tell a bear and mountain lion nearby,

"Hey buddy, dinner tonight is on me"

(Points a finger)

"That way"

I don't think that you impress 'God', but you certainly seem to impress yourself!

"No matter where you go, Here you are!"

You are going to fall in a hole and find yourself 500 meters underground and you're going to discover a type of semi human, semi monster type of society which venerate a kind of monstrous god that eat the flesh of the living and you're going to survive but no one will believe you.

I have found that desolate isolation alone in Wyoming for me proves the most peaceful soul searching one could experience. In my travels hunting treasure I found a spot that has nobody for miles. The sound of a gentle breeze, an occasional flyby of a bug, watching an eagle ride the currents, and even the occasional moose or elk.

I can spend hours out there, and I forget why I went there, and go home at dusk with the most pleasant calming exaustion that you could ever experience.

If my god was listening, he would hear me smile with contentment.

Nother...I'm concerned about you and your outlandish attacks. Op left us all a message to receive and you chose to strike at posts which do not fit your agenda. I miss you and hope you are well.

Op enjoy your trek and ignore these fools. Of all the places you chose to document your journey you chose ats...you can't be impressed at the responses

Why is everybody so concerned with the OPs safety? Humans have been climbing mountains at night for thousands of years. For every person who goes hiking and gets hurt or lost, 10,000 have a great time. For every person who goes to get a pizza for dinner in New York and gets mugged, 10,000 don't. Have you all succumbed to the spirit of fear or our times?

Hope you can hear God over all the sh!t the world throws at you OP.

I agree. I have on more than one occasion done this. You dont have to climb Mt. Everest. There are plenty more easier ones. And not all a craggy straight up.

Anyone been on top of Mt.Pisgah at midnight with no moon? It is wayy cool.

God told Daniel to be at peace in the lion's den. The lions went to sleep
God told David to lie down and sleep in the midst of the Philistine army and none would come against him
"The faith of a mustard seed"
But I agree with the poster earlier. The mountain you must climb is within you.

Don't take any water or food and become delirious and you will see god.
