I wish the media would of vetted Obama like they do the Republicans then we wouldn't be in the mess that we are in. No worries Carson can always get a job at NBC, they let you make things up over there.

Vetting Obama, like his birth certificate controversy? The fact that he was only a community organizer before a Senator? Accusations of his involvement with the mob (because he's from Chicago of course)?

All of what you posted and more. I doubt if the Kenyan Communist was properly vetted him and that ghoulish she male that he passes of as a wife would never be in the White House.

Really? I certainly remember ALL of those topic existing before he was elected. I think you have the wrong idea of why Obama won the elections he did. Though with the incredibly harsh opinions you have about his family, I think you have problems with Obama that exceed his politics.

It seems his campaign is now in the mushroom kingdom...which is down the pipes! feel free the use that quip.

I cannot recall a more disastrous campaign. Wow.

You couldn't question Obama with out being called a racist.

That's not true. MILLIONS of people did and still do. His books WERE vetted. His religion, his beliefs, his birth, his childhood, his schools, his family, his sexuality, and everything he said was vetted.

But this is about Ben Carson. Who has LIED and got caught.

Who Stands to Benefit From Carson's Lies?

One significant beneficiary of a Carson exit could be Texas U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, who is trying to appeal to the same base of conservative Christians.
...
Florida Senator Marco Rubio will also make a play for Carson supporters but he runs in a somewhat different lane, with more appeal to establishment and Wall Street Republicans than staunch Tea Party conservatives.

It is hard to imagine how Carson can recover from the revelation that he simply made up the story that he received admission and a full scholarship to one of America's top military academies

I just said this earlier today! Cruz is one happy boy!

UH OH. This isn't a gaffe, this is a complete fabrication. Can we count Ben "Brian Williams" Carson out now?

Maybe he is trying to mirror Hilary's campaign? Lying seems to be a effective strategy for her.

I never heard the story about him being in the mob, although he does act like a thug. You are right I do have problems with the Kenyan Communist doing stuff like flooding our country with illegals form the lowest common denominator of society from South American and muslim countries.

Maybe this is what Trump meant when he said something like when the focus is on Carson he will be toast. Trump is probably dancing around the room right now (with his wife at his side laughing like a hyena).

Of course you could, only other Conservatives told you that you'd be called a racist if you did. I criticize Obama all the time and have never been accused.

Anyway... later Carson.

Sounds great. I'm sure you are a hoot to talk to at parties too. So anything to say about Carson now, or are you going to continue to drag this conservation off topic so you can complain about your favorite politician some more?

Something isn't right about all of this. I can't believe the Democrats and liberal-media-attack dogs are somehow finding all of this just now on their own. Something smells... Something smells....

I have this "gut" feeling that the GOP itself is sacrificing Carson not only to thin the herd, but to also make the rest of the candidates look more moderate and less extreme by comparison. It seems like a tipping point was reached, and a decision made to cut Carson loose from the ranks.

I don't think Carson specifically was planned to fill this role, but as the campaigns wore on he presented himself as the easiest candidate to do this with. Trump would fight back way to hard and just make himself look better by comparison.

Even with the Democrats tried to destroy Palin they didn't come out with so many stories in such rapid-fire succession as this. It's almost like he's being totally scuttled as quickly and loudly as possible.

That's not true many progressives knew Obama was a fake and said so at the time.

Maybe a little of that (take it easy on the black guy) but not much

Not on ATS

You may be right there. I wouldn't put it past the GOP to attempt something like this. Heck, if it works, they may use the same tactic to take down the Donald too. I mean, after all, that would be their real target if your hypothesis here is true.

Of course, another possibility, it could be originating from a particular candidate's camp. Say a certain real estate mogul who is willing to do anything to get elected, including throw his fellow party members under the bus to do so.

You see Obama is a well trained conman.

Carson should have gotten some Manchurian candidate training like Obama got before he started to run.

But of course all these lies were done a while back and nothing could cover that up.

Also, Carson doesn’t have the gift of the gab like Obama so it’s hard for him to come off eloquent so he has to lie about being an ex-tough guy to look exceptional.

The common man running for president is fine but you still need to do your homework and still be a reasonably honest guy.

The Kenyan Communist is a flim flam man, and he uses lies and deceit as the viscous oil to grease his flim flam machine. Anyone that has told a whopper should not attempt to run for President because in this day and age it will eventually be found out.

He never said he went to west point, and he did meet with the guy, the only "fabrication" (read exaggerate) is that he got a scholarship when he didn't.

It was in a book, so what?

Or, my other theory is that Trump is behind this. Trump has a lot of money...and he just seems like the kind of businessman who would "know people". Carson is a front runner in the polls and a threat to Trump. I can imagine an angry trump pushing a duffell bag full of cash across his desk, and saying to a shady "fixer" type guy..."Make Carson disappear!"

That would be Dr. Ben's campaign that just got thrown in the trash.

If you will review my previous posts; I said that the GOP would never allow Dr. Ben to be nominated.

So what does talking to me at parties have to do with the topic? To me it seem like you are trying to drag the conversation off topic.

I didn't think of that, but you may be right. But he's just recently challenged Trump in the polls and he's been making a lot of appearances and talking a lot about this manufactured past.

I think, more likely, Carson thought he could get away with lying and no one would question him. It never occurred to me to question him until he started using all this stuff from his past to make an impression on the people.

I wonder, if you're right, does that mean the GOP wants Trump, then? Or will they go after him when the time comes? Hmmm...

This is almost like it is scripted.

I heard Carson was a plant, then there is Donald being Donald, saying things I cannot believe a candidate would dream of saying, then there is Bush looking more ignorant than his brother,

And then there is Hillary.

OMG who would want any of them?

Doesn't this imply that the Democrats didn't know until the Republicans let it slip in that case? If that's right it means the Republicans knew about something like this and kept it quiet for some time, and it means the Democrats didn't know until recently, which then justifies why they could have just now found out about it.
