The hypocrisy of these Saudi's just get better and better!

Lebanese security forces are interrogating a Saudi prince on charges of carrying drugs on his private plane after they allegedly retrieved 2 tons of narcotics from the aircraft, local media reported.
Abd al-Muhsen bin Walid bin Abd al-Aziz Al Saud was detained on Monday in Beirut's Rafik Hariri International Airport.

The prince was about to conduct a flight on his private plane to Saudi Arabia.

Lebanese TV station Al Mayadeen also said that 40 packages of drugs, weighing 2 tons in total, were confiscated.

The prince was arrested and taken in for questioning along with four other people.

Now lets look at the punishment for drug smuggling into Saudi Arabia.

The use of capital punishment in Saudi Arabia is based on Shari'ah (or Islamic law) and is condemned internationally because of the wide range of crimes which can result in the death penalty and because it is usually carried out by public beheading. In 2011, the Saudi government reported 26 executions in the country.[1] Amnesty International counted a minimum of 79 in 2013.[2] Foreigners are not exempt, accounting for "almost half" of executions in 2013.[2] In fact, foreigners (especially those from the developing world) are routinely executed, mainly for drug smuggling and murder. There has not been any report of a Western national being executed in the recent history of Saudi Arabia.[3]

The drugs he was attempting to smuggle in were pills of captagon, an amphetamine allegedly widely used among fighters in the Middle East.

I wonder... if he was caught in Saudi Arabia would he receive the same justice as everyone else?

If he walks, it'll show everyone how well the law applies to the rich. That is if they don't know it already.

The Lebanese are SOOOO righteous .... NOT !

Obviously didn't pay enough in bribes ,
but thought he had , hence the audacity
of the MO .

No doubt there'll be diplomatic immunity ,
or bail . Then a nice fast chopper ride home ...
but only for the prince no doubt !

he will walk just like the other "prince" that walked away from
alleged sexual offences in Las Vegas not long ago.

no wonder those disgusting Wahhabi scumbags believe that are
better and above than everyone else.

im not a fan of the death penalty but in their case what's good for the rest of us
should be good for THEM them being the House of Saud and its hangers on.

What if this is just the guys personal stash? I've read someone on here stating the Royals from Saudi love their booze and drugs. What if he's not actually a smuggler, what if he just has a habit and likes to keep plenty in stock?

A very important point that you made.
ISIS fighters, most likely would be the intended end users... don't you think?

On topic, they do what they like, you name it, they do what they like.

I wonder, if he was sentenced to death or a long prison sentence that included lashes; would the Human Rights watchdogs demand a reversal and for his human rights to be granted?

It's an amphetamine, it makes you feel invincible, it's a rush. A good drug to go to battle on, if you know it's a suicide mission.

There have been a lot of stories about Saudi Princes doing nefarious things lately:

news.vice.com...

I would bet there are some a political agendas at play - especially considering how the Media is unofficially the 4th branch of the government (i.e. all of the "glowing" headlines about Hillary Clinton after the debates, after the Benghazi hearings, etc.)

Do they still make that stuff? ....very prevalent in the 1960's along with Preludin, and collectively known as 'Speed'

So this guy has two tons of it..
He'd be spending 24 hours of the day talking double!
I hope they inspected the containers thoroughly, there could be contraband hidden deep inside the packets of pills.
I reckon he'll get 74 eyelashes over this..plus a zipper on his gub!

BTW, I forgot to mention that this is also IS's favourite grub???

Sorry had to.

On topic of course he will get away with it. What's more those with him will be beheaded. The poor prince will be shocked they could use his plane to smuggle drugs. It's the same everywhere.

Two words.......

PLAUSIBLE DENIABILITY

One of the other 4 arrested and detained will take the fall for this "prince"...

The laws of the common folk do not apply (the same way) to dynastic Arabian royal bloodlines.

Plausible deniability is the ability for persons (typically senior officials in a formal or informal chain of command) to deny knowledge of or responsibility for any damnable actions committed by others (usually subordinates in an organizational hierarchy) because of a lack of evidence that can confirm their participation, even if they were personally involved in or at least willfully ignorant of the actions.
