No they haven't. Every peace agreement Israel has made with Palestine they have broken.

Uhm no not really.. The tried to negotiate with Syria, Syria refused = Golan Heights as we know it today - NOT annexed by Israel.

Gaza - Egypt wanted nothing to do with it / them.

Israel has attempted numerous times to resolve the situation only to have Hamas launch rockets into Israel indiscriminately and doing so from populated areas knowing Israel will respond.

If Hamas is such a leader of peace why wont Egypt have anything to do with them? Why did they seal the border?

Israel has stated on record a land swap in the West Bank is possible.

Please explain what negotiation attempts has Hamas had with regards to Israel? How about Iran or Syria since they are controlling Hamas and Hezbollah. Have those countries made any attempts to resolve the situation? - NOPE.

So yes, Israel has done more than the others.

All of this is irrelevant every inch of land stolen since 48 is illegal.

Actually no its not illegal and the UN Charter says as much when it comes to occupying land captured from another Nation. In Israels case each land gained was a direct result of Arab countries attacking Israel.

If you don't want your land occupied the don't attack the country to start out with. If you do attack then don't bitch when you lose.

BS they have allowed and protected settlers from their nation in occupied Palestine. Not to mention they issue building permits in that land so they have annexed that land.

again you are wrong.

No settlements in Gaza coupled with valid occupation under the UN Charter.
Jerusalem was seized by Jordan and annex by Jordan only to lose it back to Israel. Un Charter allows for military use of areas like that, even though in this case all of Jerusalem was part of the mandate before the war.
Golan Heights captured from Syria and is will to withdraw and return it yet Syria refuses.

Oh Holy Mary Mother of God. Even the word "Palestine" moreless means and has always been associated with a group of people who hate Jews. Insisting on the name itself is a hateful and provocative tactic.

Pfft.

Don't argue, it's not worth it. There are racists and bigots on ATS and it's impossible to change their mind. It's EEO around here, there are haters in all corners. It's an innate human trait. You got people that think Jews, Muslims, Christians, etc. can do no wrong while the other group has no faults. It's a no win situation. In this case everything's Israels fault, Palestinians can do no wrong, according to some.

Perhaps it's time for the Palestinians to declare peace.

Then they could declare their financial independence from the US and Israel and accept no more money from them.

Just a thought

Abbas chose right now for this position statement so that Russian/Syrian/Hezbollah supplies can find its' way into numerous weapons cache' of a Palestine Defense Force (to be created soon)

Abbas knows that the counter insurgency led by a joint Russia/Syria/Iran to eradicate ISIS/AQ/al Nusra/FSA by both boots-on-the-ground & air support will be an ongoing 2 year ramp-up process...and siphoning off arms to Palestine will be a covert action by at least the Hezbollah so that future attacks on Israel can be accomplished...
Abbas is planning ahead

Not a bad idea! Maybe they could arrest all those terrorists and put them in prison. You know...the few and far between terrorists who are in no way supported by the people. And they can declare peace, destroy all their weapons and see what Israel does. If Israel attacks...then the UN should step in and "fix" the problem. But we know nothing would happen. Israel wouldn't attack unless provoked as always.

If one side keeps trying to invade the other and loses every time, they lose real estate too. Not every country can afford to be like the US and back out.

Heck, Russia would sympathize with Israel. How much land has Russia grabbed? Georgia ... Crimea ... working on Ukraine.

Invade are you insane? Israel has done nothing but invade Palestine since it's creation.

The UN sanctioned its creation. Until its revoked its legally Israel. Then a day after it was created it was attacked. a direct message to the world what they thought of everyone else. The UN should had legally revoked the creation of those other countries as punishment in truth.

Ever since 48 Israel has expanded it's borders. Perhaps the words "since it's creation" threw you off. Also annexing land by force is against international law. Well against the law for everyone besides Israel.

At the time it wasnt though was it?

Nope Israels not violating INternational law. The "area" of palestine has never been a soveign country. And as such is not covered under them.

Article 49 of the Geneva Convention refers to forced transfers of population that result in endangering a conquered nations’ existence, not voluntary settlement to open areas, even for cases when an occupation does indeed take place.

any careful examination of international law would establish that Judea AKA Israel and Samaria, as well as East Jerusalem, are not occupied territories and that the Geneva Convention spoke of forced transfers, such as what the Nazis did, not the voluntary transfers that Israel engages in.

No it doesn't. The "right of conquest" is not a UN charter. It was the basis of international law before WWII which assumed that a conquering nation would be better placed to secure peace and stability. Since WWII and the subsequent problems of colonisation plus US and USSR self determination the "right of conquest" was abandoned in international law. This has been replaced with "territorial integrity" which is the principle under international law that nation-states should not attempt to promote secessionist movements or to promote border changes in other nation-states. Imposition by force of a border change is an act of aggression.

In addition article 242 of the UN states Isreal should withdraw to the pre 1967 borders.

Isreal has ignored this. Before you start , yes the palestinains did not agree with this either (from a different perspective) but eventually agreed to it in 1993

Article 446 states that Isreal should desist from transferring it's own population into the occupied territories and changing the demographics.

Isreal has ignored this

I could go on but you get the point.

Yup.. read up on occupying power and how it works then get back to me.

Secondly I notice you have avoided the Egyptian military occupation of Gaza from 48-67 - why?
Or Jordan's occupation and annexation of E. Jerusalem?

Or is it ok because it was Arabs doing it?

Both sides committed atrocities. As for who belongs there both sides have been there for thousands of years. Muslims have taken all of the Middle East, conquering every land in their wake and converting everyone they could. Why is it that they can't allow one small tract of land to another people?

BTW, how many times did the Palestinian authority "urinated" over the 2 state accord, claiming that they could not allow an Israeli state to exist?... More times than I remember.

Israel also gave back tracts of land that had been used for decades to attack Israelis, and when they gave it back the first thing the Palestinians did was to once again fire rockets from those positions. What would you do? Just allow your neighbors to continue attacking you and your family without any response?...

Not to mention that the anti-Israeli media does not announce all the rocket and missile attacks done by the Palestinians upon Israel, but boy do they make sure to mention everything Israel does in response...

This is only a list from 2014 of attacks by Palestinians upon Israel, most of those attacks were not reported by the media.

It's a common misconception that Arabs were "run out" of Israel. There are millions of Arabs who live and work in Israel. And vote, in the only stable democracy in the Middle East. So why is this push for a separate state? There are Arab Muslim states throughout the Middle East, and Jews can't have their tiny sliver of land? There never was a state of Palestine; it never existed; it's not something Israel "took away". The Ottoman Empire controlled most of the Middle East until it was carved up by European powers into artificial territories which had no previous existence, controlled by Britain and France with provincial troops and administrations. The territory of Palestine was run by Britain and included both present-day Israel and Jordan. It became the Jewish state of Israel and the Arab state of Jordan, the
'two state solution" they're always prattling on about. But in their attempt to wipe Israel off the map in 1967, Arab states lost control of certain territories: Gaza, the Golan Heights, and the West Bank. Gaza was given over eventually, but without the West Bank, Israel is in some places only 50 miles wide, so they kept that and some settlers moved in, much in the same way as Americans build new suburbs. There's only so much accomodation the Israelis can make with Abbas and his kind supporting terror and the destruction on Israel. Peace? Oslo Accords? When has Abbas ever agreed to that? Until a leader agrees your country can exist, he is your enemy.
