Alert 5 has posted a picture of an unknown Chinese UAV seen via satellite picture at Chengdu.

Apparently, there was a recent announcement by the Chinese of a new high speed UAV that was recently, successfully flown.

What specifically are they looking at in the photo? I see a few J-10's and a couple WZ-9 Sky Wing UAV's.

Left of the bottom sky wing. Looks kinda like an X-1.

Looks like something that isn't completely assembled or an X type that needs a carrier aircraft. That tiny wing isn't going to do crap for lift on its own.

Looks the same to me too. Dimensions are very similar to the drone to the right of it. Missing wing-tips and tail I'd imagine. Might be what those four white things surrounding the smaller drone. Crates of material to finish it.

I was almost thinking, what if they had applied some invisibility technology, and this is what would be seen: missing wingtips, and tail.

I am not too worried the Chinese have enough trouble mastering escalators.

Then why is General Carlisle worried about the PL-15?

Or vertically launched with a solid fuel booster. It kind of looks like the Natter that the Germans developed in WWII.

Looks like a dirty patch of tarmac. Like an old hydrologic fluid or oil leak that happened where concrete slabs come together. That would explain the + shape. It's not 100% symmetrical and the edges aren't as defined as the plane sitting next to it.

Sort of. It's smaller, shorter ranged, and stealthier.

Unless they are using escalators as a test bed for their Stealth technology. I don't think anyone saw "it" coming...
