Trump may have name recognition, but so does Hillary. Democrats voting on name recognition alone would be more likely to vote for Hillary than Trump.

Yes but Hillary's name recognition is most negative:
the most cheated on woman in America, who refused to leave her husband or do anything about the cheating except go after the women (very catty and unpresidential)
the most scandals of any presidential candidate ever
she rose to power because of who she married, not to any personal accomplishments
Her persona is very off putting, every time she speaks to the public her poll numbers drop.
Her name recognition is not much of a positive for her.

Trump's recognition is due to his reality TV show.
The association with the Trump name for
dim bulb voters is:
powerful
decisive
gets things done
only chooses the best people for any job
people admire him and defer to his wisdom
don't forget sexy (not to me, but all his wives were supermodel looking women)
unapologetic
and actually somewhat compassionate to people he fires (almost always says very kind things about fired people - gave Rodman a second chance, etc.)

The name recognition of the two people are vastly different:
Hillary's mostly negative
Trumps mostly positive
with the majority of voters who are dim bulbs
and are actually the ones who end up choosing the President,
unfortunately.

I thought we were talking about name recognition alone? You are moving the goal posts if you are going to bring Hillary's past into this. The idea of voting by name recognition means that you AREN'T well versed in their political history.
