My Goodness, now I am really confused. I thought I read that even though you are Army, you are straight, married and have a daughter and current events have not swayed your sexual preference. Lol. I have a few hipster friends, including a conservative or two, who like to sit in coffee shops drinking overpriced coffee and coding on their macbooks. As far as I know (and their wives and girlfriends I'd assume), they're all straight.

Me, I prefer to write my code at my desk, surrounded by monster cans and an ashtray brimming with cigarette butts.

Just kidding, I don't fear gay marriage either. It has not affected me at all.

(thought I am building a gay marriage reconciliation retreat in the mountains.) Oh and pushing for legislation that ending a gay marriage require a "reconciliation retreat" in order to be valid. (it's the American way)

I have found a Granfalloon, the folks who have posted in this thread.

If some of you aren't familiar with a Granfalloon, Bokononism or Kurt Vonnegut (well shame on you for starters) a Granfalloon is a proud and meaningless association of human beings based on a shared characteristic.

In this case it would be the shared characteristic of an open mind and a sense of humor.

If you wish to study a granfalloon, just remove the skin of a toy balloon.

Um, I think you are misinterpreting the OP. He is stating that NOTHING has changed since the SCOTUS ruling when it comes to his marriage in response to the Ultra-Conservatives and Fundies claiming that same sex marriage diminished theirs. It was all tongue-in-cheek.
