Not the need to protect people, but "Christians". Who cares what someone believes? If they are killed for no reason it is wrong.

How do you justify the Inquisitions? They were brought about by Christianity for no other reason than to purge their land of those who believed differently than them. How is what Christianity did then any different from what ISIS is doing today?

Aside from the problems which the Earth is going thru weather wise, all the war hate problems with the economy the price of oil can all be attributed to such... You can spin it on the U.S. government or what have you but that would remain you're opinion...

My post in very much on topic, it is comparing what ISIS (what you consider to be Islam as a whole for some reason) is doing to what Christians did during the Inquisitions. ISIS killed a guy by burning him alive, Christians killed thousands of people by burning them on the stake during the Inquisitions.

How is Islamic extremism today any different from Christian extremism during the 1100's and 1200's? If your argument is solely based on Islamic extremists killing in the name of their god then how is that any different from Christian extremists killing in the name of your god?

Even you said my thread was one of the motivators behind this OP, I think I'm allowed to discuss something that's on-topic.

When it comes to death cults, religion is a light-weight schoolgirl - surely you can see that through-out our recorded history, religion (whether Islam, Judaism or Christianity) has been used by powerful men to kill. Those powerful men couldd nott give a ship about religion, but it has served them well, this myth called "God"
