Anything can be considered offencive depending on intent of the chanters.

Or the intent of the "listeners".

Never let a crisis go to waste.

Closet racists always try to hide behind some kind of mask even chanting the countries name to push thier racist agenda, been that way for a long time now.

Why do you think the KKK burns crosses which represent christ a symbol of god and good, on peoples yards to invoke fear.
Masking thier racist intentions behind god and hijacking the cross from Christ.

Same as using USA as a chant to say its not a country for mexicans, or that they arent real Americans somehow. Would they chant that to other white players NO! Utterly pathetic period! Sticking up for race baiters is just as bad as being one.

I wish someone chanting: USA, USA, USA was the worse thing that I ever endured.

You are thousands of miles away from the topic.

This basketball game was not a KKK meeting or a religious ritual.

The MSM has you on their hook too !!!

And I bet the school administrators weren't even at the game either.

I thought chanting USA was how one announced their mental shortcomings to the world.
They did it in Boston after having their homes sacked without warrants looking for Tsarnaev.
They did it after any number of speeches by Dubya.
Yep, it's gotta be the way to tell everyone "hey, look at me! I'll fall for anything!"
Racist? I don't know, is that the AMurkan thing to say?

Schools in California went one step further in 2010 when students were banned from wearing American flag shirts during Cinco de Mayo due to perceived racism. In early 2014 the Ninth Circuit Court upheld the ban, stating that fears of racial violence by upset Hispanic students outweighed the First Amendment right of others.

Why would there be racial violence? Why would Hispanics be provoked?

Don't buy this crap people. This is about cultural subjugation as a form of cultural war being reinforced by strange people in long black robes. Cinco de Mayo is racist when this is the result. Wake up people wake up.

What type of American high school students do you think would take offense to hearing chants of "USA USA USA!"?

Sure you have freedom of speach.

All depends on the context of when/how it was chanted.

Dont know all the facts.

But I could see a american team of colour having that chanted at them by a all white American team and being seen as offensive.

Anyway im not attacking your free speach say what you like, but as I said im free to think your a idiot based on what you say

What about this was patriotic

This was not USA against a foreign opponent

Sadly for the moronic "patriotic" students it was though....

I'd have to say that certain posters here are either being deliberately disingenuous or happily stupid in their responses. Kinda like a bully saying "Hey, can't you take a joke?" They're the same type that like to use "Merry Christmas" as a bludgeon.

In Albuquerque, this happens.

One time, the fans started throwing tortillas on the football field.

But i would consider albuquerque and new mexico the most least racist city and state in the union.

The only people the citizens of Albuquerque dont like are the police. But thats only because APD is freaking scary.

Cause if they wore mexican flag shirts on the fourth people would lose thier minds.

Your rights end where mine start and my kid has a right to safe as his school.
Those kids were trying to incite people that day by wearing those shirts and you know it.
