So what pray tell would they be telling Sony and not us? You are just creating narrative because you fear terrorism. Didn't you get tired of that spiel in the 2000 decade?
Because they are cowards. Duh.
People die; it's a fact of life, but I'd be willing to bet against something happening in any case. You appear to like succumbing to fear.
You haven't said anything to sway my opinion
Appeal to emotion fallacy.

Would it not be better to cease making offensive sh#...
absolutely not. everyone is offended by something. cant please everyone and pleasing the dictator or people of an oppressive country by not releasing a movie in this country should be way down on the list. actually, it shouldnt be on the list
But to fully answer your question, it all depends on who is threatened & why?
If innocent people are being threatened because a Corporation give the green light to offend an entire Country...
I'd say it then the responsibility of that Corporation to do the right thing.
ok. so if it happens again with another movie youre cool with it? it really is a yes or no question.
I'm sorry but Hollywood trying to make a Political point is not as important as the people who could be affected.
i think the point would be we will not bow down and do what terrorist(or whatever term you want to use) tell us for fear of what might happen if we dont obey
SS agencies ignored the warnings of Cavemen coming to knock down buildings with Airliners...
And they sound more of a non-threat than a group of nefarious hackers who brought a MultiBillion Dollar Corporation to its knees...imo.

I'm hearing rumors.
Maybe the White House/DHS put the screws to the movies.
They fear backlash from the secret U.S./North Korea trade negotiations.
Nothing surprises me anymore.

kim jong un is the closest thing north korea has to a jesus. in terms of authority anyway. people were getting pretty upset about iron skies 2 revealing a machine-gun toting jesus just a few days back...thats kind of how korea feels about this movie.

What has that got to do with Sony removing one film from the annual amount to protect innocent people?
I believe MY version of free speech is more in line with what it actually means than your version. But it's probably not easy to see it very clearly when you're hiding under the bed.
I'll let you know when the "ALL CLEAR" is given.

The DHS source who said that there is, currently, important word, currently no credible evidence also admitted that it has become a National Security issue.
How the hell would I know.
Another assumption.
I don't live in the past.
Without all the Intelligence, that's an assumption.
Over Movies? Since when?
You appear to enjoy making assumptions in this thread.
You opened this conversation up, not me... I have no intention of swaying anyone's opinion.
I'm here to share mine.
No just an honest opinion.
I don't appeal to no one.
Much less people online.

Never heard of Iron Skies, but I wouldn't mind seeing a gun-toting Jesus.
Look, we have memes on top of memes, .gifs out the yang of everything under the sun that ANYONE with tender widdle feewers can find offensive. Don't we have an avatar with beefy Santa & beefy Jesus duking it out somewhere on ATS right now? I know I saw it, and it probably rubbed a bible thumper the wrong way (too bad for them) A movie is the last straw? Get real, if something was that offensive to the religious, to the North Koreans, they'd zero in on more than just the damned movie to try to put an end to it. This is just a "because we CAN" thing. They're putting the kibbosh on a film because they can, if they whine & screech enough with enough hollow threats.
It's time for someone to make a gay porno with one of the Kims (or...all...ew) and Jesus. Offend every weenie at once and get it over with. There IS life after simpleton tears & rage, folks.

Do they not deserve protection?
Or do you know of a special cinema that only shows 1 film?
It's also an assumption to say that they know more than we do. Two way street buddy. I'm going to go with what we currently know, which says that you are fearmongering.
Whatever. It's still an appeal to emotion fallacy. You aren't appealing to anyone with that fallacy. You are appealing to someone's emotions to get a rise out of them to support your cause.
