well there are a few, one, growing up, when i was still pretty shy, called "sense of humor" By darren hayes, in the song he imagines a perfect conversation with someone he's attracted to, and how in his head he would be able to win that person over with his wit and charm.

the otherone, fron nick cave, "god is in the house" i grew up in a small town in sicily, with less than 3000 people, and that song always reminds me of how it felt like to grow up there

I'm 50 now and because of accidents, surgery and arthritis, I'm not the man I use to be.
But, oh, back in the day.

New Slang - The Shins

I'm looking in on the good life I might be doomed never to find.
Without a trust or flaming fields am I too dumb to refine?

Greetings TechniXcality!

The song that best describes me and how I feel right now is Lou Reed's "Strawman". This is the 2nd time I have posted this video on ATS in as many days. It is speaking to my very soul right now. However, I am subject to change as I wander through this wretched and bizarre debacle the human race has become.

I feel dispossessed, angry and livid in the face of authority about how they treat people they are supposed to represent and the utter hypocrisy they practice.

Well, Andrew Mitchell, if you can say THAT about us then we can say this about you. Fair game!:

My favorite song, has been so since high school and is one of very few songs that can help pull me out of bad moods/times.

When I was younger it would have been 'I just wasn't made for these times' from the Pet Sounds album

www.youtube.com...

"They said I got brains but they ain't doing me no good...
Every time I get the inspiration to go change things around
No one wants to help me look for places where new things might be found
Where can I turn when my fair weather friends cop out, what's it all about?

Each time things start to happen again
I think I got something good goin' for myself
But what goes wrong?
Sometimes I feel very sad...
I guess I just wasn't made for these times..."

but now it's 'Lover of my Soul by Johnny Parks
www.youtube.com...

"Like Jonah ran, I ran from you
like David I've sinned too
and as Thomas needed to rest his eyes upon your feet and hands
I've doubted too Lord, but hear I stand
You are the lover of my soul..."

very spiritually relevant to me

thanks for thread

I can totally relate to this song... This is how I feel.

"Free me, free me, free me from this world. I don't belong here
It was a mistake imprisoning my soul
Can you free me, free me from this world?"

I feel trapped in a prison with no escape... only one.

This one rang really true the other day.

I've always been crazy and the trouble that it's put me through
I've been busted for things that I did, and I didn't do
I can't say I'm proud of all of the things that I've done
But I can say I've never intentionally hurt anyone

I've always been different with one foot over the line
Winding up somewhere one step ahead or behind
It ain't been so easy but I guess I shouldn't complain
I've always been crazy but it's kept me from going insane

Beautiful lady are you sure that you understand
The chances your taking loving a free living man
Are you really sure you really want what you see
Be careful of something that's just what you want it to be

I've always been crazy but it's kept me from going insane
Nobody knows if it's something to bless or to blame
So far I ain't found a rhyme or a reason to change
I've always been crazy but it's kept me from going insane

I've always felt some kind of connection to this song, a lot of things I've done and multiple times, are a part of this song. And somethings I've felt like doing

And then you have a majority of Pink Floyd tracks that really click to my mentality.
