Protests temporarily close malls, shut down trains

FERGUSON, Mo. (AP) — Demonstrators temporarily shut down two large malls in suburban St. Louis on one of the busiest shopping days of the year Friday, as rallies were held nationwide to protest a grand jury's recent decision not to indict the police officer who fatally shot 18-year-old Michael Brown in nearby Ferguson.

Apparently massive protest shutdown a mall in ferguson, haven't seen anything about a shooting yet.

I for one, do not blame the malls for shutting down.The people there will see it as an opportunity just to loot them. They ruined their holidays.

Good to see they shut down transportation as well. Maybe they will start to see the error of their ways from protesting. These businesses supply them. Protesting these businesses and shutting them down, will leave them with nothing.

How is one to survive without supplies? You need these businesses opened to survive. Something that these kids and protestors don't get.

I think virus is talking about paycheck. Don't feel bad, I get paid walmart pay. ROFL... I don't even work for walmart. Oh my, and I'm Caucasian, and also a new graduate, that is having a hard time finding a job in my degree. Virus, you are not the only one on the bandwagon, especially when parents pressure you to be better.

Sadly, this will probably just lead to more "urban blight" whatever that is.

What really gets me about all of this.
2 Sundays ago. The night after the verdict was supposed to be announced..

At 10:30 pm est..
2 Black hawks flew around my house ( Very low. Just under the landing path at Pittsburgh international airport )
They then proceeded to a shopping center about 1.5 miles from here..
I couldn't bare not knowing what was up..
So I drove up to the shopping area..
I was met by DHS blocking off the parking lot..

Note.. there were at least 15 marked homeland vehicle's , 2 urban swat trucks.. DHS markings and one Striker also marked..
They were parked next to the DEA/Homeland building in Kennedy Township Pennsylvania.... this building is DEA.. but it also housed US Marshall's and FEMA..
There was also 2 of our Township Police there.. small Dept only 3 officers at night..as well as day.

Tried to get pics.. but it was dimly lit..so my iPod couldn't get the pics I wanted..( got excited and didn't grab the good camera).

Is this what it's coming down to?


ETA: DEA is between Clearview credit union and Rockafeller's. Unmarked building on langer way.

The shooting was just a food court fight in Annapolis MD. Cleared up by another member.

If they think they are protesting and working to stop the police state they are wrong. People will quickly get tired of a bunch a delinquents and their antics.

I'm confused. Did the shop owners and employees shoot that unarmed teen? Shouldn't these protestors focus on the police force? The only people who are losing in this mess are the businesses.

How does shutting down a mall on Black Friday do anything for their cause?
