Really - another new acronymn ?

Bae - Bæ
Bæ/bae is a Danish word for poop. Also used by people on the internet who think it means baby, sweetie etc.

Bae ...

Am I missing something here ?

Call me a fossil ... so be it .
Just need a logical explanation, anyone ?

What in the hell was that video about? Seriously? Makes me want to slap some proper english into that boy's mouth and kick him with some old fashioned morals and values. You want to go around calling somebody the equivalent of fecal matter like it's a good thing, but obviously from this video it means treating people like exactly what the word means. God if this is the future for our children and subsequent generations, we are all doomed. If that makes me a dinosaur or fossil then so be it, because at least my morals are firmly planted on the ground.

Who has the clout to start such inanity as a new "thang!" ?

And who propogates this crap ?

Eta; I am grinning with all of this ...

The video really isn't about morals, but it does point out how many are talking these days. Their speaking text speak. Sad but true.

I remember when guys would say...
"How you you doing, Brother?"

Which morphed to...
"What's up, Bro?"

Which morphed to...
"Sup, B?"

Pretty soon it will be...wait for it.
"Sss, B?"

Oh, to me...the way it was spoken, clearly indicated a lack of morals. Don't even get me started on the perverse twist of words.

Are you serious? Because he in the video was quite obviously not o.O Facetiousness is just plain lost on some folks I guess.

I guess this is the natural progression from calling someone "My boo" -- one letter change, in English, to "My poo". Bae, lmao

The link in the OP gives some definitions.

It does seem to me though; that the majority of the use that I have seen ... can be attributed to the laziness of the
bae word user.

They save on having to type the letter 'b' .

Sloth, laziness are a couple of instant thoughts.
I am hoping this has greater depth.

Does it ?

OP every generation has had their slang and always will. I seriously don't think it's an indication of moral decay. Bae use to be boo which use to be baby which use to be darling which use to be beloved...

The video of course was done in jest and was funny. I saw no moral decay in it. You know our generation had it's short comings that set our parents off too. It's each generation's way of claiming their own.

Think of slang as color to language.

Here's a little powder for your chafe.

first time i saw it i just shook my head and kept scrolling. "bae" is basically slang in much the same spirit as "yolo". i dont even understand why people call each other "babe". im sorry, since when was a subject of romantic interest addressed using the same word as a squalling infant? since forever apparently. wtf.

Next time I have a girlfriend and she brings up something I did 5 years ago, I'm going to have to remember to call her, Babe. LOL
