Israel as a sovereign nation has no choice but to protect it's citizens which is pretty much priority number one of a nation. When the enemy you are fighting hides weapons in schools and targets civilians there really isn't any choice you have to eliminate the treat because nothing is off the table for the Hammas.

Israel's survival depends on bought politicians, established 'think tanks', media ownership and blackmail. It is farcical to suggest otherwise. HAMAS is an elected government. You can call them anything you like, but they are an ELECTED government. So much for elections! Americans value their independendence. What if someone came to your city/town and subjugated you? Stole your land/property, interrogated you wherever you went, killed your loved ones, and blew up your house. What would you do? What would your fellow citizens do?

Would there be peace if Hamas quit bombing Israel?

Hell NO, and anyone that believes that there would be, is highly lacking in observational skills.

In fact, Israel, is just like the ones they are fighting, their religion DEMANDS that these things go down like this, it gives them purpose, and they wait for the day where they can rule TOTALLY.

You really think if all of Gaza and Palestine was gone things would just be hunky dory?

If all the Arabs and Islam was gone they would think, AHH time to relax, NO, the books they follow say that will never happen, until ALL the world is completely and TOTALLY annexed and or re-arranged by GOD.

Very wrong again actually, the Hamas charter calls for the destruction of Israel... but let's ignore that!

I think Israel is out for itself and really laughs at the rest of the world. They have lost their moral compass because they control or own key politicians and media. And people still eat the fodder fed to them. Like Sheep... Sheep... Sheep...

Why is it, that ALL of these groups of people are so really the same in all of this,

I truly see both sides of this, as totally and COMPLETELY being handled by a source that is DIFFERENT than the ones think is causing all the grief.

The GODS that started all these bloodlines, soullines, etc, by proxy SOMEONE is fighting a war , and it appears to go FAR beyond this planet when one really starts looking.

How can people really believe this is all humans doing, when this conflict is ENTIRELY based on crazy happenings many years ago, that supercedes ALL the books they claim to read, but they sure do get influenced by them, and everyone on this planet thinks it is all normal, the COMBATANTS believe in it so much that they play along ENDLESSLY like mindless drones that truly believe the MESSIAH is coming to change things.

These MESSIAHS, likes things just the way they are, and none of these people are capable of REALIZING IT!!!

What? That this is about the 20th time in 30 years that Palestinian Radicals have provoked israle to defend itself?

I wonder who has the courage to ask the REAL QUESTIONS, like for instance, why DONT they totally end it all, instead of perfectly allowing it to resume endlessly.

Why not push them right OUT of the area , get things over with, be pro-active !

But no, someone who lords over ALL SIDES of conflict is the mastery in this, it is so easy to see!

And it will continue until THOSE beings, decide to make a change, one that neither side will like!!

Over this past conflict of Hamas firing rockets into Israel in which they publicly call for Israel's complete destruction and praise the killing of jews, which Israel has every right to protect themselves. Israel has set up a rocket defense system on its boarder to protect its citizens, while the Palestinians are using there citizen to protect themselves. Israel has spent their money time and labor to dig underground protective bunkers for its citizens from these rocket attacks being sent into there homeland, while Palestinians have used there time, money and labor to dig underground bunkers to protective their rockets from being found and destroyed so they can continue their offensive rocket attacks on Israel. These are the facts people and the facts that should matter, which is why I laugh when people call Israel a terrorist state when they are the ones just trying to protect their citizens. Everything I'm reading on this forum is about the civilian casualties in the Gaza strip. My question is why is palestine focusing there assets towards a offensive role rather then a defensive one to protect their citizen like Israel is. The sad truth is they want the negative publicity for Israel. They are so sick they would sacrifice the lives of their own citizens just to get other wild up about Israel. But as I said before, Israel uses a rocket defense system to protect their citizens and shoot these rockets out of the sky, Palestine wants to use its citizen to protect themselves and their own sick beliefs/way of life.

Hmm a search engine dished out this:

North Korea To Send Hamas Weapons, Communication Equipment In Secret Arms Deal

Hamas and North Korea in secret arms deal

Iran admits giving Hamas technology for missiles

The weapons, often generically referred to as Qassams, were initially crude and short-range, mainly affecting Sderot and other communities bordering the Gaza Strip. However, in 2006 more sophisticated rockets began to be deployed, reaching the larger coastal city of Ashkelon, and by early 2009 major cities Ashdod and Beersheba had been hit by Katyusha, WS-1B[8] and Grad rockets.[9] In 2012, Jerusalem and Israel's commercial center Tel Aviv were targeted with locally made "M-75" and Iranian Fajr-5 rockets, respectively,[10] and in July 2014, the northern city of Haifa was targeted for the first time.[11] A few projectiles have contained white phosphorus

Attacks have been carried out by all Palestinian armed groups,[19] and, prior to the 2008–2009 Gaza War, were consistently supported by most Palestinians,[20][21][22][23] although the stated goals have been mixed. The attacks, widely condemned for targeting civilians, have been described as terrorism by United Nations, European Union and Israeli officials, and are defined as war crimes by human rights groups Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch. Indiscriminate attacks on civilians and civilian structures that do not discriminate between civilians and military targets are illegal under international law.[24][25]

So nations are not allowed to help their allies? So Israel should be given whatever it wants but Palestine should be thrown to the dogs?

They would tend to live longer if they fought with logic and intelligence rather than the energy of martyring other people. If Hamas were fighting outside the heart of civilian populations, they could be seen as taking the fight to the enemy or something to that effect. Right now, they are bringing the fight into the neighborhoods of the civilians they hide among.

It's hard to respect an enemy who goes out of their way to employ terror tactics from the hiding places of civilian housing. Cowardly all the way around. Palestinians need help. Hamas needs removal by any force necessary.

Gaza does not have an 'outside' zone, it is surrounded by a wall 90 ft high. It has no military , no air force, no navy, no access to its own lands now filled with Israeli settlements. GAZA IS OCCUPIED. It is strip of land filled with 1.2 million people, mostly refugees, who are only refugees in the first place because Israel turfed them off their own land and those who were not killed or could not escape their bombings and expelling, fled to the shore - Gaza.
Gaza is the most densely populated piece of land in the world. There is no 'outside' of the population...they are imprisoned there! This is why ppl INSIDE Gaza are fighting to end the occupation!! How hard is that to comprehend ffs!
Gazan children are NO ONES enemy.

Check definitions and reality for the situation there. This isn't Palestine. This is Hamas.

#1. Gaza is not occupied. It hasn't been occupied since 2005. Israel went through hell with it's own population almost ready to overthrow it in the forceful removal of Jews from their own homes inside the Gaza settlements. When they left, occupation ended. Something worse began, but that came a bit later, after Hamas threw the PLA out of power in 2007 and took Government control of the Gaza Strip with it's population.

#2. They absolutely DO have a military wing and it's bordering on delusional to suggest they don't. Hamas has been and remains a militant organization with one primary focus. As outlined in their own founding charter documents. The total elimination of Israel and everyone in it. This conflict has seen full production missiles being used for the first time in Gaza carrying a range well into the North of Israel. That is a military weapon system. It is not the system of a rag tag rebel group.

If things have moved to the next level, Hamas supplied the step ladder to get there.

#3. What Israel has done in their handling of Palestine is horrible. What Hamas has done to actively bring the war upon themselves and turn the siege of Gaza into a full blown shooting gallery with their population as the ducks, is far worse. They are willing to lose every battle if they win their version of a war. I don't think the population they are willingly putting out for loss fully agrees with that approach and it makes Hamas as terrorist today as they were before taking power of the Gaza Government.

Israel doesn't have to be right for Hamas to be wrong. This is a situation without heroes and no white hats left to wear on either side.
