You missed the big point of Romney care. It was a state effort. SO they modeled their national health care on a system that was designed for only ONEstate? You are just proving the point that the ACA was poorly drafted and even more poorly implemented if they were just aping Romney care. You would think that they may have fixed some of the problems that were known about it, instead we get a huge pile of wasted money and as the OP has stated easily gamed national health care system. Our politicians are like engineers, they are so dazzled by their own sense of brilliance they forget the realities of implementation. That 'free' money the government calls up the federal reserve to print out of thin air.

Then that doesn't pay the nations bills so they call up the federal reserve again and 'sell' treasuries.

That still doesn't cover it so we call up our 'friends' like China, and saying he can we borrow some 'cash'.

Still doesn't cover our expense's.

And that was before the ACA.

Now we will be doing MORE of all of the above.

And then!

AND THEN !

Sometime within the next 5 years there will be a renewed push to make them 'evil rich folks to pay their fair share' ! !

But that still won't cover it.
