I'm putting this here because I think it all stems from the Agenda 21 plan:

21st Century Wire

In the wake of a Bundy Ranch crisis sparked by a militarized federal land-grab effort in Nevada, it seems that the Department of Interior has set its sights on a new prize - this time targeting once protected Indian reservation land on Pine Ridge in South Dakota. The Oglala Sioux and Lakota Sioux of the reservation have been told by the Federal Government that the National Parks Service will be taking land that comprises the South Unit of the Badlands National Park as a new ‘Tribal National Park’, only the wording in the bill clearly indicates that it will be a federally managed national park under the Department of Interior, giving mere lip service to its tribal title. The Congressional bill has already been written, and if passed through Congress, both tribal members and non tribal members will be stripped of their deeded land – at a price set by the federal government. If owners do not accept Washington’s offer (expected to be a meager one), the land can be acquired at no cost because the measure has waives all appraisal rights and stipulates that Washington can simply take Indian land by force under ‘eminent domain’.

If they do this, and they get another 'Wounded Knee', I certainly hope that it makes the Bundy Ranch debacle look like small potatoes. How will the liberals stand on this.........Big government vs Native Americans?
I am thinking they will have to back the Feds, but how will they excuse it???

WTF...the Federal Government is taking back the lands, that they gave to the American Indians to make up for taking all their lands? Outrageous.

I'll tell you why they are doing this. So the Tribes the land belongs to, can't approve drilling on the land.

I'm so sick of this over reaching by the feds....

It is my understanding that Indian lands are not even technically part of the US, they have their own rights to use as they see fit, hence all the casinos even where gambling is totally illegal.

I got to tell you here.

This federal government will not stop it seems, unless we stop them.

Do they really want this at their front doors?

This isnt going to be fought at the reservation, people are going to start going after these guys and their families at home to put a stop to this BS.

You dont take on superior opponent head to head, you take them apart where they are weakest, have they never heard of Tsun Tzu?

Ah, I see that the American tradition of stealing land from the natives is still alive and well. This should end well.

Indian givers...

Hopefully, if this is as it actually seems, it turns into another Bundy situation. I also agree with you Stormdancer.

Meanwhile there are folks up in arms over the name of a football team...

Where are they with this issue. I would think this is more important than that surely??

So the Feds are just going to be Indian givers?? Shut the front door folks... I was only teasing.

I do agree with the others that this is over reaching. Above and beyond actually. I would make a comment about audacity, but what's the use at this point.

One possibility for all this land grab is as collateral for the growing US debt. If foreign nations or multinational entities are to continue buying bonds to 'kick the can', then some skin needs to be on the table. Similar to how the IMF stiffed so many countries during its hay day, but now it is coming home?

I hope the Native Americans, Black Americans, White Americans, Brown Americans, will all stand together against big money and intrusive government. The win in Mississippi has shown what we can do together. They have not taken away our democracy completely.

I've got a hunch the government isn't trying to seize the land for the opportunity to hunt raccoons. From this pdf document, it seems there are lots of deposits of oil shale, gold, uranium and a whole load of other rare earth elements. Thats too much of a reward for the 1% to not take the chance to increase their stock portfolio.

Eventually there must be a common goal that unites us against, TPTB.

When we quit squabbling with one another.

Oblivion...I just checked my news feed for my rather large FB group. It's already had 18 shares in the past 2 hours.

The only way so much of the crap this administration is doing, is getting through to people, is though social media.

Everyone, please share this info as much as you can.

Today it's someone else in the crossfires, tomorrow it could be you.

I've just looked at a REAL map of the U.S., with the Indian lands included as non-U.S. That's the one that should be taught in schools and used as the U.S. map on Wikipedia articles.

This land grab has Agenda 21 written all over it. More than 600 U.S cities have signed on to the UN scheme, but the rural folks along with the Native American lands will have to be gotten through Federal strong arm tactics.

Agenda 21 is nothing short of us being forced to relinquish our sovereign rights to the international corporations. For the feds to insinuate that they can better take care of the wilds of our beautiful country better than the indigenous population is absurd to the highest degree.

Agenda 21 is in my opinion the greatest threat we face a a nation.

UN Agenda 21/Sustainable Development is the action plan implemented worldwide to inventory and control all land, all water, all minerals, all plants, all animals, all construction, all means of production, all energy, all education, all information, and all human beings in the world. INVENTORY AND CONTROL.----Rosa Koire

I wonder when the Feds will want Cheney's or Boon Pickens sprawling wild property.

Thanks for sharing another view on the situation. I do like to be informed of all sides of the issue. Unfortunately, what begins with good intentions often gets corrupted by government bureaucracy! Being the tourism may not cover the costs, how long before government decides to find other ways to make money on this venture?
