I have read about the Lanciano 'miracle' a couple of years ago. I don't believe it was real and I don't believe such miracles are real unless several tests are done and the results peer reviewed. The tests were done in 1971, more than 40 years ago. The original 'scientific' reports are not available anymore.
Even assuming the flesh was human, it couldn't have been preserved so after being exposed to parasites, the environment, etc. It simply goes against the law of nature.
Here is a very good detailed explanation as to why there was no miracle:arumanchan.blogspot.se...
S&F!
People break down into two groups. When they experience something lucky, group number one sees it as more than luck, more than coincidence. They see it as a sign, evidence, that there is someone up there, watching out for them. Group number two sees it as just pure luck. Just a happy turn of chance. I'm sure the people in group number two are looking at those fourteen lights in a very suspicious way. For them, the situation is a fifty-fifty. Could be bad, could be good. But deep down, they feel that whatever happens, they're on their own. And that fills them with fear. Yeah, there are those people. But there's a whole lot of people in group number one. When they see those fourteen lights, they're looking at a miracle. And deep down, they feel that whatever's going to happen, there will be someone there to help them. And that fills them with hope. See what you have to ask yourself is what kind of person are you? Are you the kind that sees signs, that sees miracles? Or do you believe that people just get lucky? Or, look at the question this way: Is it possible that there are no coincidences?
I've searched the Vatican website, and there is no mention of these miracles... One would think the church would at least be looking into these incidences... I would think there would be an investigation to the reality of these claims

There is a quote from the movie Signs that I love!

I am a man of science yet I have seen and witnessed things I cannot explain. I cannot turn to science for valid explanation of my consciousness. It can explain the programing of my brain, but not the divine spark of awareness.
Anyway the movie itself is not about an Alien invasion, that is the surface story for the people don't want to dig deeper. The real story is about loosing faith and finding it with a miracle...
Akragon which group are you?

hahaha true but Mcnuggets are probably made of chemicals and very little chicken!
The problem I have with this 'miracle' (besides not believing in such miracles) is that they are saying that the blood was still fresh and that is biologically impossible.
