Avatar creation forum

Hi guys

We in the BTS avatar creations thread

Have been thinking of how to make us more visible on ATS. DTOM does a great job, a really great job, I just think as a free service to members we are undersold so to speak.

So I thought maybe an avatar creation forum, just to make it easier to find us.

I know it's pain to do, but feel it helps new members find their in through a bunch of easy going members that like to support ATS

I dunno sort of welcome, want a free avatar click here

I like the idea. I've used your guys' amazing services a few times now, and it would be great to have a whole section dedicated to you guys. Most other forums have a section for avatars and artwork, I don't see why we couldn't. May help people who want an avatar site related find you guys!

I may be dumb, but I'm not stepping into that mistake again. LOL. We have a Member Art forum, where the current thread resides.

Ill tell you one way that would get folks coming by: if ATS had "achievements" that you could "unlock". Of course, it may be silly to many on ATS (myself included), but a lot of people like to have the "reward feedback" from those kinds of things. And it drives participation as people seek out the various little gems that they enjoy such as stars, flags, achievements, etc. Achievements could replace applauses, as a member could be given the achievement of moving a mod to tears, or some other similar type of concept to the applause feature.

Im shooting from the hip here. But an achievement that is germane to this conversation would be to have an avatar designed in by the team. The benefit would be we get more "work" to do, while the site benefits from a further flourishing art section, and more content.

Uh, well... oops. Didn't even realize.

The achievement idea is good though. Things like that usually gets people to participate in things they normally wouldn't even mess with. I like it!

In a thread last week someone recommended something similar to what you did, and I was all like, "Yeah, great idea!!!!". Then had it pointed out to me by our favorite artsy mod that we have a member art forum. Twice in the same week....i would have had to wear a badge of shame!

When new members join, the old crew of avatar creations always welcomed them in the introduction thread with an avatar creation thread link and a small if you want one click this link, plus we all should ( .... Cody) have a link to the avatar creations thread in our signatures so every time we post people see the thread and can click on it if they are curious.

What more should we be doing? Its already pinned in the member art forum and I think all this combined is as visible as we can be. And people go in the thread wanting avatars all the time....
