Is Yahweh misjudged? Is he really "evil"?

Yahweh is one of the Sumerian based 'gods' by all appearances and accounts in study-one of the several 'Annunaki' that were warring in the old testament with humans used as the pawns of authoritarian control.

I was thinking about this today. I believe that there are two opposing forces, the forces of God, and the forces of Satan, which have different perspectives on life - neither one is good, neither one is bad, they are different.

However, they cannot understand each other. One of them, the forces of God, starts from the bottom and builds laws as they learn them to improve their society, which allows for stability and communication and altruism, but lacks in progress.

The others, the Satanists, they are able to observe the flaws in the society of God and know of ways to improve it in order to give better life experiences to the individuals involved in that system - however, they do not have the ability to create an ordered system that would allow for stability, altruism and trust. In fact, their chaotic nature (from the fact that they are observers) might keep them from being able to make good decisions for themselves over a period of time, they might make a mistake, and this frustrates them - they wish that they had the stability of God, with the wisdom of their clan infused.

----------

The two sides need to sign a peace treaty, they need to work together in order to understand, the side of God needs to listen to the advice of Satan in order to expand their society to a point where it is stable and provides better life experiences for everyone.

Neither side will be able to understand how the other thinks unless an agent is sent in under deep cover to fully immerse himself in the opposing culture of God in order to understand it, empathize with it, love it and still maintain his ability to see and improve what needs to be improved. If this agent under deep cover is able to succeed with his goal undetected,

Then when the forces of God meet with the forces of Satan at the predestined battle of the End Times, they will lay down arms and embrace.

@op..... I suspect depictions of Yahweh as ''cruel'' is a result of corruption of the texts. The accounts of the garden, the flood and the war crimes are, imho, either incomplete or distorted or mistranslated. Perhaps the Israelites carried out the war crimes on their own and claimed they were divine commands.

People should not be forced to live in altruism. Freedom is being able to choose how you will live your life. If you want to be selfish, that is yout choice. The only thing needed for stability is Justice, anything else is just taking away freedom.

Justice - being fair, as in, respecting other's freewill and thus having yours respected as well.

Yes, mistorted, incomplete, or mistranslated.

Some WANT to hate Yahweh so they will say this to accept The New Testament and Jesus but not Yahweh.

They still claim Yahweh is evil even when they say bible was badly edited and changed.

That Is being inconsistant, cherry picking.

This is just my two cents.

I've been studying the Nag Hammadi scriptures for a while and -- like the comments of this particular thread, were in disagreement with one another about the role of the Hebrew god YHWH. The two most prevailing attitudes were these:

1. Sethian belief (derived from Jewish mystics who converted to Christianity and brought their ideas with them): YHWH is the Demiurge and he wishes to keep us here eternally for his pleasure. Luckily, he had 7 sons with one called Sabaoth who repented and fights for humanity
2. Valentinian belief (derived through supposed secret teachings of apostolic succession from St. Paul to Theudas to Valentinus): The Demiurge, who used to be known as El Elyon, did create the world and seven sons. The sons were rebellious and only wanted to praise glory to themselves instead of the true god beyond El Elyon/Demiurge. YHWH, or Yao, is one of his wicked sons whose dominion was to rule over the Hebrew people. The Demiurge's sons were known as the order of the left. The Demiurge repented and fights for humans and had created the order of the right, spiritual beings who give glory to the unknown god.

What is fundamental to both of these groups is this though:

All of fallen creation is a corrupted part of the true, unknown God

The Sethians believed in looking down upon the corrupted Archons, or evil gods if you will, who rule over humanity. The Valentinians believed that this was foolish, since although the Archons are created, they are just corruptions of God. They still contain bits of His essence, but they forgotten about their origin for they are ignorant of their history .

I believe we should respect the Jewish/Christian/Muslim God, but use the gift of discernment of good and evil that our ancestors had received long ago in the Garden of Eden. When we know something is wrong, even if it is commanded, we should not ignore it but stand up to it. Challenge it.

For those who do not operate on love but instead of dominion, such as the Archons, are highly threatened by all acts of love and all acts of courage for they do not know themselves and hate to see others who do.

Just a thought.

The bible is allegorical, metaphorical and there is no smiting God, that is always Saturn, the dark star. Adam and Eve are the right and left hemispheres, that the annanuki split, and thus when united and positive, you walk with God/Goodness.

There are layers of meanings sure, but the smiting God or anything harsh is not God.

God is Love. God is Goodness. God is humble of heart and does not want to be called God, Family is what the afterlife is. God helps the sinner, the universe's worst sinner, doesnt kill him. If anything he usually lives a long time so he can repent and turn things around.

If you something smiting in the bible, dig deeper into the words, tell yourself, if this was a fiction with a theme about how to grow up and the boundaries was always a loving God, what is it saying, (and what you have told yourself is the truth).

Except for Christ, which tends to have an agreement between the literal story and the inner workings.
