How does a hoard of guns do anything to kill any children? How does my right to own as many as I want do anything to cause any deaths? Who said the right to own them is more important than the right to live...as I remember them written they're equal. No one has said yet that the 1st is less important than the 2nd or vice versa. Please stop your spin and blaten lies. The problem with these threads is they lack people with any critical logical thinking that look at the issue from both sides before charging in half cocked with half the perspective to make any judgements. ATS your supposed to be better than this...stop slipping your playing into the enemies hands.

im gonna do the conspirecy thing here and say I never saw a body. how do we know it really happened? the media has been caught before staging events could this not be one of them?

I have an idea...it will probably save you tons of time being outraged by things like this. Ignore them and focus on the real problems. When I read news that's obviously in your face offensive or something that's obviously gonna rub the majority the wrong way it's usually designed that way on purpose. That's when you should be asking yourself what else is going on at the time or coming up that needs distracting from. Then maybe focus all that energy finding the real issues that need dealing with and leave all this divisive crap alone. Can't you guys see there are people on both sides running organizations and such that are purposely distracting and dividing us. WAKE UP!

This is no more moral than using the same tragedy to curtail the rights of those who DIDN'T hurt anyone with their weapons on that day. That would be the majority by FAR of those who own weapons. I suppose to some it only matters insofar as the use of a tragedy for political purposes suits the political sensibilities of the onlooker.

If you ask me, I find anyone using tragedy as a weapon to demonize the opposition in politics, or to legitimize a particular ideology, no matter how much I may or may not agree, disgusting.

SandyHook was a complete hoax. Do you not know that???

Guns have saved my life 3 time.

Had I not had taken my mothers 9mm when I was 16 I would have been killed. I was the only white kid in a black school. I was picked on to a point that I had enough. I took on a bully in history class. Him and his gang members beat me up nearly every day. So one day when the gang leader was shooting spit balls at me, I took it upon my self to teach him a lesson.

Spine of my US history book vs. his teeth. Book won and I never saw him again. I had heard from one of the girls at school that his friends were planning yo kill me. So I skipped school called the police. They said I was imagining things and about a week later the truancy officer came to force me to go to school. I took my moms pistol in with me. As the officer escorted me through the metal detector it went off. I was never searched. The whole day I was getting threats. When the bell rang at the end of the day I was first out the door.

I made within a block of my house and was ambushed. I heard the pops and took cover behind a brick law office. I dug in my bag to get the gun out. It was then I realized I had been hit twice. Once in the chest and the left leg. I fired back 15 times hitting both of them. I made it back to my house and called 911. I was lucky.

The second time I was working as a merchant mariner. I was on a vessel that was boarded by pirates. I used a knife to get a gun. With my crew we killed 10 of them.

The third time I was unarmed at a gas station one late night after work. I had a guy pull a gun and tried to rob me. He was close enough and I had the training so I took his gun without getting shot thank God. I held him for 7 minutes until LE showed up.

I now carry everywhere I go.

My wife calls me the luckiest unlucky person she knows.

Guns in the hands of honest, principled and trained people will save lives.

That was all you my friend the gun was the tool by which it was possible but the tool didn't do anything it's operator didn't "instruct" it to do. By the way wow you are one of the unluckiest lucky people I've heard of.

Why yes, Yes I am.

This is a terrible idea. It's not going to gain support for pro-gun rights groups, it will probably do the opposite as others have said. The same goes for any group trying to make the sandy hook date (or any date of a mass shooting for that matter) into a "guns take away lives" day. I feel like the biggest opponents of gun rights are some of the people who support gun rights themselves.

There are good ways to argue for gun rights, but this isn't one of them.

into media fakery. they have uncovered so many media fakery hoaxes that it is a wonder
that anyone believes anything they receive from any main stream media source.
