People are out of work. There was a story today that said many people are cashing in their 401 k’s

Children may be going hungry

Far more people are out of work and children going hungry every single day due to the standard business and behavior of this government than this shutdown would EVER be capable of causing.

If you care so much about people's work and children, you'd help fundamentally alter one of the most parasitic war mongering governments active on the planet. You'd be writing threads to end the Fed and stop the aggression overseas causing our sons and daughters to kill and be killed... for... what?

I think that you fail to grasp the real problem! We need to raise the debt ceiling to pay for a program that a majority if Americans don't want? Somebody sure as hell better be doing some due diligence, and it sure ain't the bunch of idiots that passed the bill behind closed doors without reading it.

The Republican Party sold itself out to the treasonous, Trojan horse, called the tea party, all blame will fall squarely on them when the dust settles, you see, the republican core was so desperate to win the last election at any cost, they would pair up with anyone that could add to their numbers and not split them, despite their insane very narrow and non mainstream views of what America should look like to them.

Many of their views borrowing from a long gone era in domestic and world view, the already unstable GOP buddied up with the wrong crowd of thinkers , unfortunately this is coming back to bite them and it will cause irreparable harm to the GOP and unfortunately the U.S. possibly.

You have speaker Cruz running things now, looking and sounding like a complete _____, and now the hype man Dr. Ben Carson at events spewing out his nonsensical views, Boehner is looking so impotent and weak as a leader right now, he always looks like he can't wait to get his next scotch on the rocks and run away from it all, he has the power as Speaker of the House to shunt all of this to ground but he would rather try and control the president than his own party, well really because he can't as it is being proven the virus which is infecting it right now is spread and it is irreversible.

The GOP is done!

The death of the GOP would be the death of the Dems. They work together to prevent anyone else from seriously participating. The only survival option then for the dems would be dictatorship.

Which very well might happen. Would that work for ya?

This GOP with a small fraction of Tea party fanatics HAVE DAMAGED THE COUNTRY. HAVE AND STILL ARE DAMAGING PEOPLE. AND THERE IS NO ONE TO LEGALLY STOP THEM.

The fact that we are here today to debate raising Americas debt limit is a sign of leadership failure.~ Obama 2006

I think Obama says it best. As for your rant?

The problem with our liberal friends isn't that they are ignorant, it's that they know so much that isn't so. -- Ronald Reagan.

Guess who funded ted Cruz's campaign?
Not the GOP.
the GOP hates Ted Cruz.

And nobody is suffering because 17% of the bureaucracy is on a paid vacation.

Ideally, that's the way it is supposed to work but unfortunately, the ties to banks and big money have escalated the government employees to a completely different realm. They're more like royalty. If Americans want to take back their country, they need to set term limits for every government position and the employees they hire DON'T get permanent salary for the rest of their lives for holding office. It just has to be but for some reason, it isn't.

This has to be political trolling, I mean honestly. Because in my opinion, there can't be that many idiots who still think that the democrats and republicans are two different sides. The democrats are equally as insane as the republicans. The whole system is screwed, putting new people in the office won't help as it's just replacing the actors of a play but the play remains the same.

Give me a break Will, I see you touting off democrats day in and day out while demonizing the republicans. YOU help continue this vicious cycle of illusion. Get a grip and open your eyes. Both parties want the same thing: To see you and everyone else screwed while lining their pockets.

You really don’t know what you are talking about.

The partisan troll rap is an absolute falsehood.

You can search this forum and you will not hear me praising any particular political party.

I BELIEVE IN DEALING WITH ISSUES!

If an issue happens to be on one side of the political spectrum that I agree with that’s an accident.

I do think the Democrats are a degree above the GOP

In life often disparate interests converge and agree on certain issues.

In World War II we were allied with the biggest murderer in history, Stalin, because we wee fighting a worst murderer Hitler.

There is a difference; that doesn’t mean that the Dems are saints it is just that the GOP has descended into a deep dark corner of consciousness, it happens in this world.

When it does decent people must ally to fight that evil.

One is either a part of the problem or part of the solution

Make your choice!

Its only "serious" when you realize that these two beasts are exactly the same.

You?

The Dems are not at fault. At all.

Political doom porn.

Scare the populace enough and you can edict anything.

It's government by fear.

Hell, I'm more afraid that the mods will find out I've been eating the lunches in the ATS breakroom than any doom DC can dredge up!

Hit the nail on the head!

I'm sick of fingers pointing to the Republicans when the DEMs are just as much at fault. I blame the DEMs as much as anyone else because they could have tried to stop this shutdown but instead, they were just as hardheaded about standing their ground as the next guys. I dont stand on either side because from where I'm standing, both sides are crooks! and both sides are destroying this country just as much as anyone could.

Your the one who still does not get it.
You keep saying that you have no love for either party but then still blame the gop for the down fall of America.

It's both parties fault not just one side.

If you keep voting for rich monkeys to run your country, you get what you deserve.

The only answer is to refuse to vote.

If a majority refuse to vote for any candidate, if all the candidates have between them only, say, 10% of the possible votes, then they have no mandate.

People power

No, just bashing one. The republicans. Then you act like the democrats aren't crazy. That's what I've seen from your posts and threads. I could care less, as I don't adhere to either. But it's annoying when someone like you walks around spouting out nonsense while claiming to know better.

The same for the idiots who bash Obama. He's not the problem, the people in control of him are. Because believe me, someone somewhere is pulling strings. They want us to concentrate on the puppet show. They don't want us to see the strings.

That's why they fear places like ATS. Because we (typically) concentrate on those who pull the strings. And when we can collectively focus on those people who actually matter, the faster we'll be able to figure out exactly who's screwing us over and why. And then put a stop to it.

A narrow mind can’t distinguish between strategic realities.

I imagine in WWII if this nation would have said”

“The whole world sucks so we won’t ally with Stalin and fight Hitler then Hitler would have won”

Or during the Vietnam War we didn’t fight the democrat Lyndon Johnson

I was Rand Pauls ally in the Syrian fight

Bottom line: You don’t know what the hell you are talking about

Just dogmatic rhetoric that makes no sense. Go back to sleep!

Its people who think like you that perpetuates the system with conditioned ignorance.

You can’t identify problems because you refuse to deal with practical reality and hide behind elusive conspiracy rhetoric so nothing ever changes

You have to form strategic partners on issues to get anywhere not just spout pie in the sky Alex Jones conspiracy theories.

I doubt you could identify who is really running the show and even if you could would not have a clue on what to do about it.

All you do is espouse rhetoric so the elite never get touched

If you used your head you would realize they, these hidden powers you speak of, hire people like the Tea party to do their bidding so the only way to fight back is to expose and fight them

What this means is that YOU are the troll.

People like YOU bandy about nonsense like “ look behind the politicians”

“They all are evil”

And guess what?

Nothing changes; nothing gets done, as the usual suspects continue to destroy the American people.

Because you read Alex Jones and are deluded you understand something.

You don’t understand a dam thing.

That’s your delusion, rarely are two of anything the same.

Who was worst Hitler or Stalin?

Who did we ally with for a time?

And why?

After Stalin became the enemy

Common sense, something that is lacking in your post, tells you to deal with time and place on anything, not political dogma.

If you are being attacked by a wild dog you deal with that dog first then worry about other dogs
