The Shutdown is Treason: Citizen Recall Amendment

This recent shutdown fiasco illustrates that the nation needs some laws that we the people can directly exercise to get rid of crazy congress people who need to be immediately thrown out of power for egregious actions.

All this complaining about the country and its rotten laws and sorry congress is meaningless unless the people start demanding changes.

If the very congress can extort the country and due extreme damage to it without any redress then this is tyranny of the worst sort.

All these hate the government crybabies must realize that the congress IS PART OF THE GOVERNMENT.

This GOP with a small fraction of Tea party fanatics HAVE DAMAGED THE COUNTRY. HAVE AND STILL ARE DAMAGING PEOPLE. AND THERE IS NO ONE TO LEGALLY STOP THEM.

By the time Election Day comes the country may well be in a state of destruction. And eventhough the favorability rating of this congress is the lowest in history at 5 percent; with the gerrymandering that the GOP has done to certain districts it is no guarantee these crazy people won’t get reelected.

THEY CAN SHUTDOWN THE GOVERNMENT PERMANENTLY IN THEORY

The country has no legal recourse on stopping this crime.

We must pass laws that would allow the country to do a national impeachment ON ANY ELECTED OFFICIAL, INCLUDING THE PRESIDENT, WHO WHILE IN OFFICE COMMIT ACTS, OF WHAT AMOUNTS TO TREASON, AS THE GOP TEA PARTY ARE DOING NOW.

There should be a law that would allow for the nation to immediately impeach and throw out of office people like Ted Cruz.

And any and all of the congress people who advocated for the shutdown of the US government…should be subject to this national impeachment law.

Up until the congress passes a law that would make it illegal for an elected official to advocate for the shutdown of the federal government for any reason, we need this law because otherwise we are subject to the whims of maniacs.

How can we go about getting this to be the law of the land?

I HAVE NO IDEA!

It's almost like... we'd all be better off... if our society was structured such that we weren't dependent upon government but instead were capable of and empowered to handle our affairs ourselves.

Now where have I heard that before?

That is a great idea but it would probably take a lot of organization. Right off the top of my head: need checks and balances from non interested parties to substantiate corruption, attorneys for a fair trial, and someone to implement and run this whole thing. They can be impeached by the people if enough stand up and call for it. So it can work now - without resorting to something that might take years to implement (no way the government is going to allow people in there to audit their records or the public to spy on them). We were given this power long ago with our rights. If people want change they need to be brave and not just complain - but take action. It doesn't even have to be a major thing - supporting a cause with a signature or a show of solidarity can mean a lot.

It has always been clear that any Government that doesn't make it easy or makes it impossible to remove them; they no longer are for the people.

There have been 17 "shutdowns" since 1977. That is one every 2.11 years by my math. While it is annoying and childish to treat our country like a sack of $$it it is all to common over the years when our government can't get along with each other. We are "sheeple" at this point and go along pretty much with whatever as long as we have TV, gas and food (and porn of course).

Treason? I would not go that far BUT even if we elected new representatives we would fall right back into the same pattern in a short time. Elected officials (in general) start out with good intentions as they move up the political ladder but when they hit Washington and all they lobby money is there and all the "side deals" are made to get assigned to a good committee post it all that good intention goes down the crapper!

It is what it is. America is to big to change and we are moving away from common sense as a country at "Ludicrous Speed", approaching "PLAID" (threw that in for all you Spaceballs nuts). Sit back and watch the grass grow in Washington, nothing is going to change. When the Supreme Court said Obamacare was not a tax and was legal we went over a cliff as a country. This law will (my opinion) prove to be the biggest waste of money in history (especially with the IRS involved). No doubt. America will not be the same ever again. Mark my words.......

We already have laws for that. Don't think more laws are what we need. In fact we have so many laws congress couldn't even count or quantify them all when they tried last time.

But I think the Citizens United law is the beginning of the end.

Obamacare soon will be forgotten.

This law I suggest now is to protect us from this kind of madness.

It is a direct hand in the government by the people.

Recall just last month WE THE PEOPLE STOPPED THE ATTACK ON SYRIA

If you look at the daily Treasury reports....

You will see that not much is really *shut down*.

They're still even selling and cashing in securities.

pay attention to: "Public Debt Cash Issues" and "Public Debt Cash Redemptions".

So far, we have a $52 billion spending deficit for Fiscal Year 2014 (started Oct 1st).

Good question.

Such a law of course should be well thought out.

But take the recent attempt by the president and congress (Boehner and Pelosi agreed) to bomb Syria

A groundswell of Americans came together and stopped that.

Now on this issue( shutdown) I happen to be on Obama’s side, but just last month I was against him and that nut Kerry, and denounced them.

Just ask yourself. If they went ahead and bombed Syria anyway, what could we have done.

Maybe the congress may have impeached Obama but Boehner and Pelosi were for it.

Incidents like this shutdown and Syria to me are no brainers.
When a vast majority of the people thinks the government is way out to lunch then a national referendum on impeaching the politicians or politician is called for.

What miracle, are you asking about the law I am advocating?

Just have the congress (i know a Herculean request for them to pass a law to kick themselves out) pass a Citizens Emergency Governing law, when the VAST majority of the people think the congress, or one congressman or 2 or however are doing extreme wrong, including the president and senate, we have a recourse to vote their asses IMMEDIATELY OUT OF OFFICE.

In this age of accurate scientific polling it could be done.


The details could be worked out by non profit constitutional lawyers
