Retired South Dakota Senator Sheldon Songstad, who represented Sioux Falls from 1975-1988, has emerged from the shadows to discuss his memo about FEMA Region 3.

FEMA Region 3 Author Senator Songstad Goes Public

I thought this business about FEMA Region 3 was bunk. Now I'm not so sure. How much credibility do you give to a retired Senator?

I live in Fema region III. All I can say is, I feel sorry for anyone wearing blue helmets......if any of this turns out to be true that is....

Considering that he's spreading a warning about Region III, but when asked wasn't even sure where Region III was, I'll go with less credibility.

Below is the FEMA Region 3 Alert issued by Songstad and the 2nd part of the interview on the Rick Wiles Show.

-Forced Home Inspections Will Implemented sometime in 2013.
-FEMA purchase orders for over $14.2 million for MREs and heater meals to be delivered to Region III by October 1st.
-FEMA purchase orders for 22 million pouches of emergency water to be delivered to region III by October 1st.
-FEMA purchase orders for $13.6 million for MREs and heater meals to be delivered to Austin by October 1st.
-Nine-week training course for UN Peacekeepers in CONUS to learn Urban Warfare, English, and US weapons systems beginning 4th week of July for 386,000 troops to be completed by October 1st. $11 million in antibiotics to be delivered to FEMA region III by October 1st ordered by CDC.
-World Health Organization held second emergency meeting in its history to discuss MERS Coronavirus. -Determined a vaccine MUST be in place by October 1st.
-2800 MRAPs must be delivered to DHS by October 1st. No leave will be allowed for US military from -September 28th thru November 5th. NORCOMM yearly training for civil unrest suspended until September 27th. To be performed in northeast coastal areas. Date for release of QE3 report moved to October 16th.
-All DHS agents MUST qualify with sidearm, shotgun and AR 15 by September 28th. No mention of yearly less lethal qualification. Sporadic testing of GPS and Communications satellites is coordinated for the first time with a testing date of September 29th.
-POTUS mandates to FEMA and DHS concerning support for metropolitan communities dealing with the extreme climate change MUST be complete by October 1st. These mandates were issued during the last three weeks. Over 300 school systems in the US have determined they need three-day kits for each school AND three-day kits for each student to take with them. All deliveries are scheduled for the month of September.
-All National Guard units will complete riot control and disaster assistance training during this years annual two week training. All units MUST have their training complete by September 30th.
Daily testing of the Emergency Broadcast System to begin on September 25th and run thru October 2nd.
-Eastern-based Coast Guard units to perform massive group training, usually performed in the Gulf, in the Virginia and Delaware areas. This is a 10-day training mission to begin September 26th.
- See more at: govtslaves.info...

Did anyone hear the daily emergency broadcasts between Sept 25th and Oct 2nd? I have heard most of this and cannot distinguish between genuine preparedness that covers numerous potential scenarios and the implementation of a police state or nwo. The "forced home inspection" I have not seen, but in the event of a widespread tragedy, this ction may be justified? I don't know but every Fall seems to be the season of doom and I just don't know anymore, however, nothing would surprise me these days, tis a mad mad world.

FEMA dropped the ball during hurricane Katrina because they were dragged into being a part of the war on terror. While they still are, they are no longer an agency directly under the umbrella (and the responsibilities that come with that). So this is either their effort to truly focus on potential emergency situations or they know something. I go with the 1st since this happen at the end/beginning of each fiscal year. But since they do have a direct line to the Secretary of State regarding terrorist matters something else is always a possibility.

If region 3 is in the area of the capital (is it?), it would make sense to prioritize that area - where would terror strike.... I know this is a prep for a terrorist attack, in addition to whatever else due to the house to house searches. Bush allowed things like that to slide - in addition to illegal wiretapping but laws have since been enacted that require the attorney general to sign off on "quick searches" to rule out terrorism (when does not fall under good cause for search). With the protocol for searches at the top of their list - where is there a newer law making that okay to do? Maybe it falls under "if in a state of emergency". But until I see a law on that it does not exist. Of course - they have probably passed one that they would be able to flash at you if they came to your door.

It is bunk as this was a story that came out on BIN.

I wouldn't give him much credibility when it comes to this story.

You should go with your first thought.

While I hate the idea that any Breaking News be attributed to BIN, the ACTUAL source is "Trunews."

This state senator is referring to an October 1, 2013 deadline.... the senator offered the telephone interview to discuss this list. He spent two years in this "project" [his words] wherein he kept track of developments until he felt a pattern had emerged... which in his words "I think some of the things going on in Washington are a cover up for what's really happening in this country."

Of course, the CT in me offers a reminder that being 'fed' information is often the best way to mislead.

Nevertheless, I don't think the allegations regarding FEMA are something that should be just brushed aside without a careful analysis... which is what we are told this senator did... (I would rather perform the analysis myself... but I doubt anyone - including the senator - will offer up all he considers evidence for scrutiny.)

Politics... it's worse than theater for ascertaining the facts of any issue. It's why I call them 'thespians' ... you may never know why what is being said is being said... it may all be for effect.

What twitches my antenna with regards to him is that he spent time working on this "project", and has all this information about Region III, but when they asked where Region III is, he says, "I think it's the area..." Shouldn't he KNOW where it is?

But isn't Oct.1 the start of the new fiscal year for the gov't?

So that would coincide with everything on his list.

It seems he is just showing things the gov't had to do before the new fiscal year began.

The fiscal year for the US...

The United States federal government's fiscal year is the 12-month period beginning on 1 October and ending on 30 September of the next calendar year. The identification of a fiscal year is the calendar year in which it ends; thus, the current fiscal year is 2014 (shortened to FY2014) which began on October 1, 2013 and will end on September 30, 2014.

A very valid point. It appears that after the need to 'blame' one side or the other about the federal compulsive spending problems. Perhaps this is just another attempt to attribute something sinister to the other side...

Problem is the FEMA mystery is about the Federal government itself (continuity) ... not one political club or the other... in theory.

We was right, he might have meant he wasn't sure of the exact 4 states.

This really has me thinking, economic collapse might actually be this time.

The interesting and only word I saw was "forced" so it is an executive coup.
The moment they start breaking into homes someone will eventually fight back and no doubt die in a loud fashion. If nothing else because they didn't like hitler and they sure as hell don't want this predidential tool we have to succeed,so they wood rather be dead.
I've heard it from a few.

Aside from the forced home inspection which I find a little confusing (probably that one needs context), all of the things on that list look like something I would kind of hope a federal emergency management group would be doing and planning for. Is there some assumed-conspiracy-based-on-MRE's that I'm unaware of?

Edited to add: I'm already aware of the executive orders from every president that essentially makes us a martial dictatorship with FEMA in charge of everything. But I'm referring just to the specific OP.

Only thing on that list that makes me curious is the MRAP. Can't image a natural catastrophe, where the emergency responders would need a military grade armored transporter to "help".
The forced home inspections might be necessesary, when there is a plague to search for infected persons to round up.

In a serious crisis, anybody with food/money/supplies is likely to be a huge target for virulent locals. Hell look at people shooting at helicopters in New Orleans, that's crazy. But I'd think protection for whatever they carry, and even for themselves, probably would be a legitimate need in a worst-case-scenario kind of event. I mean, people are not anywhere near the kind of desperate situation or psychology right now as they would be then, but we still use armored trucks with armed guards to deliver to banks for example; how much more serious a situation would that be, when what you're carrying is a nearly life and death level resource for everyone in a city, some of whom are probably well-armed?

Omitting everything from BIN seems extreme to me. Oh well, I can abide. I was careful not to source anything from there.
