One of my work colleagues managed to pick it up this morning, he didn't pre order or anything, just walked into the local Asda as soon as it opened and the woman behind the counter gave him one from the pre order pile before she realized what she was doing. She didnt ask for it back though

I just sat and stared at the game map half the day feeling sad

Don't worry my brother, I have that piece on pre-order as well. GTA 5 and Beyond: Two Souls will be my last current gen games I will buy.

As for the PC'ers there is no offical announcement for a release date. My best bet is that pc version "maybe" release next year with the next gen console versions. If it was release now, it would probably be watered down.

Not officially, but several stores in other countries have already started taking pre-orders for the PC version. There are other indicators also. Besides, every other version has came out for the PC since the very first GTA.

Yep. I'm already addicted. After playing for somewhere between 6-7 hours I need a break.
I'm focusing on Franklin's story-line first, and believe it or not - not a whole hell of a lot has happened yet.. probably because I kept trying to do a race over and over w/ crappy cars haha, then I spent at least an hour or more at the Gun Range.

Is in Da House.
Staring me right in the face, still snuggled in it's plastic wrap.
beer-check
bbq chicken-check
smoke-check
leather recliner - oiled

but still, I'm not ready. Something about playing video games when the sun is shining, it's wrong

Think I'll go golfing..

I hear ya. I have mine installed but now I have to wait for my daughter's bed time. Then? It's on.

This game is so amazing, and such a technical feat, particularly on the aged hardware that it's running on, that is has me thinking about simulation theory again (could we be in... GTA 27?!).

o/ gamers.

I'm waiting for the PC version.

Must

resist

buying

the PS3

version.

Or, maybe I'll buy the PS3 version, and play it until the PC version comes out, then sell my PS3 version.

Must

resist......

Just get your fix,

it will be worth it trust me,

Ive had about 6 hours in the last 2days, thats sleep, worked for 16, so 16 + 6 =22H, so divide the rest of the 26 hours between food and well thats about it. GTA5 has me hooked.

My fix has been mind blowing to say the least

Yeah, okay... I'm an adult and can usually wait a few months for the game to reduce in price... but this is GTA... heck, the most virtual fun I've had of all the zillions of games I've played (except maybe for the Bethesda masterpieces)...and there have been a few ...from paper RPG's in my diapers to the ultimate immersive virtual experience we call life.

I broke down and over-nighted a copy from Amazon... sigh... and it's xmas eve all over again. Personal hygiene, health, relationships, responsibility and even this website be darned!

Time really is relative... and I am going to disappear for awhile ... Los Santos, I'm a comin' baby!

Very polished so far and outrageously fun.
-The best gaming experience I've had since...
-Red Dead was immersive, by all accounts, this is much more so..
It's not often that something like this comes out, I can't recommend it enough.

Also (obviously) this is rated for eighteen years old and up.
-There are some games after playing that are rated 18 and up that I'd let a younger person to play,
This in NOT one of those.
This is the raunchiest, expletive riddled, sexual, and violent parody of America out there. (including film)
and to see Rockstar pull it off so well and so humorously...
So far 10/10!

Can we see the second video of when the mom views the first three minutes and then bans it from the household?

in a perfect world where parents don't let children view porn I guess
(ya the lap dances are pretty..umm..realistic)

unreal!

Totally agree. I also believe we are living in a simulation. But yes GTA 5 is a technical feat on the hardware. And the controls are so good with the driving.

I called in sick for work today (I really am sick), and the supervisor says "Are you really sick or are you just taking the day off to play GTA 5? It was released today.". I totally forgot about it. Checked out the reviews are they were very high and extremely positive. So I went to Target to get a copy and they were sold out. Had o drive a further 6 km's just to get a copy from JB Hi-Fi. Very impressed with the visuals and how huge the game world is, and I havn't even escaped the city yet. Very polished game.
