I love how the same people who try to bash Christians/conservatives as woman haters and the war on women for silly things like this completely ignore the middle east and Islam where woman are truly treated as less than equal and abused/killed regularly. Give me a break.

My friend, I hardly said the middle east and or Islam treated women any better.

A lesser of two evils, in my opinion, is still evil. Kinda like the Christians/conservatives

Ciao!

Actually, speaking as a former Catholic, the message presented in that article is pretty spot on. Premarital sex is evil, contraceptives are evil, and a family should have as many children as possible when they are married are pretty much staple dogma in the Catholic dogma. In other words if it feels good, it's a sin. If it's painful, causes much hardship, or makes you feel guilty then it should be an action to pursue.

I am afraid that as a former Catholic, you are misinformed.
Premarital sex is a sinful act. This is because it undermines spiritual affections between men and women. A man or woman who enters into a sexual relationship outside of marriage opens Pandora's box, once you have sex, it's a little more difficult to get out of a relationship with any dignity or integrity. That is what we are talking about here- good men and women who are concerned with inner piece and unity with God. Who knows if you go to hell because of premarital sex, but it is a sin because it separates you from God's grace, it compromises your innocence and virtue, and does lead to spiritual corruption.
When a man and woman meet, and decide to pursue a romantic relationship, they should first figure out whether they even like each other beyond the other's physiology. We are not merely our bodies. It is logical to abstain from sex until you know if that person is even a match for you- otherwise, you are using them.
About birth control, invented by men, to have sex with women, without the pesky and inconvenient problem of pregnancy. Pure objectification. Birth control is also not completely effective, so that is why we have adoption, homeless children and abortion- all of this to have selfish premarital sex.
Lastly, children. The encouragement to have children is not a mandate. And pumping out children who you can not care for is certainly not "Catholic dogma". Healthy children are the key to a healthy society, and believe it or not, the raising of children is a spiritual endeavor. Cocreation.
I am just wondering, would you in fact argue that we have a healthy society in the u.s.? And if you say no, then what has free love done for any of us besides create a barren waste land o' porn shops, strip clubs, and abortion mills?
We are a long way off from peace in the world. I know that peace will not be achieved by selfishness and objectification of others. And lust is but one of the seven sins against God and his grace.

this is about the only reason i can see not to let your daughters go to college.

warning the sound is awful, and not just the video quality.

7. Woo girl
Female equivalent of a "bro". Usually in a sorority. Identifiable by exclaiming "Wooooo!" in any environment where alcohol is consumed.
Bro1: "Hey bro, check out that chick at the bar."
Girl: "WOOOOOOO!"
Bro2: "Oh dude, she's a woo girl. Buy her a shot!"

1. Woo-girl
a female who is often found going 'WOOOOOO!' in public. this behaviour is most often exhibited while in the presence of other woo-girls. it is speculated that this is a mating call used to attract men of less than average intelligence. this behaviour can most easily be observed in bar districts, at maroon 5 concerts, or spring break destinations. also, woo-girls are known to have an affinity for chads

2. Woo girl
A women usually between the ages of 18-24 who shows her excitement and fun that she is having with her friends by exalting with a "WOOO" usually in unison with 4-5 other woo girls

I understand that this is Catholic doctrine, but I couldn't disagree with it more. I don't sex is a sin. I think it's natural and healthy. Sex is necessary in a healthy marriage, but it's what holds a marriage together.

I think adding a taboo to sex not only makes the forbidden fruit that much tastier, but it but puts an unrealistic emphasis on it, too. I think teenagers, who think that they're in love, should have sex. Get it over with, and start to learn what a real relationship is like. Make mistakes, break some hearts, get your heart broken, before getting married. I would even encourage a couple to live together first before getting married and having kids. By then it's too late to walk away because one realizes that one has made a big mistake.

I also don't think sex is a sin. I think that objectifying women is sin. And when a boy soils his oats in a woman, that is userey. I understand that coming from a broken home is a different story. And that is exactly what kind of home a parent who encourages permiscuity in their children makes. So selfish as to view the children of other parents as sexual lessons for your own spiritually poor children?
When two people, who believe in God wait until marriage to seal their vow with sex, and refrain from cancerous toxic birth control chemicals, and raise children in a safe evironment, that is a healthy choice, both mentally and physically.
I am talking virtue, union, and self dicipline. I would implore you to stop living a contradictory and anxious life, but I would be begging myself too. I am sorry to be somewhat mean, but the reason our society is broken is because of ignorance, and ignorance is frustrating. To think that frivolous, instant sexual gratification is going to solve any problems that self discipline won't is absolute pure ignorance. And to advocate it as such is pure deception.

Another thing about birth control- first cousins of Monsanto...

Sex isn't usury. It's a mutual physical exchange. Love is tricky and easily confused by sexual tension and rampant hormones. I think it's better to acknowledge that there is a learning curve in relationships, after the sex is over.

People change, hearts are broken, people move on and learn from their mistakes. It isn't usury to allow my children leeway in their relationships, and encourage them to experience more than one person intimately, before settling down and starting a family. It's best they know what they're in for, before they make a lifetime commitment.

I honestly hope that your perspective works out for you, your children, and the all of the people they develop relationships with.

Parents might not have as many children if they feel that they have to save money for each of their children to attend college

Here is more proof of what I always say- the "pro-life" movement has nothing to do with caring about life, it's all about trying to make enough poor, uneducated people to keep religions and conservatives in power.

I don't even like the RCC, but I have to point out that this guy does not seem to be an official representing the RCC but some guy with his own ideas and thoughts. If you go to the link where that article is, the Catholics and other "religious" people are coming out bashing the article right and left.

It's easy to find some odd stuff online, and just because he has an RCC symbol at the top of his page doesn't mean it's a sanctioned article by the church. It is good fodder for anti-religion types to use to paint all Christians with some nice tar and feathers.

4 The cost of a degree is becoming more difficult to recoup.
Couples that are strapped with the debt of student loans will put off having children! She'll probably never get a job that pays well enough to recoup the cost of tuition anyway!

I agree with this one... Most go to college today that get some crappy degree that is not worth a cup of coffee, but they pay 50k to get it with the college telling them all kinds of good things. In the end they graduate and realize that their crappy degree will get them a job at Burger King...

We then see the 99%ers that complain that they can't get the high paying job that their college told them they would get, and so they blame the rich...hehe

If you go to college and it doesn't have Dr., engineering, MBA somewhere in the title you have wasted your money and time...

The extreme response to this story is just or probably more laughable. Most of it has nothing to do with what they said.

Most would consider it as cleaning up your own yard first before complaining about the neighbors trash.

By your own yard I mean this country and when I say neighbors I mean other countries and trash would be fundamental religions.

I probably didn't need to explain that to you but some people are dense I just wanted to be clear on the issue for everyone's sake.

Why do the poorest states usually go to the republicans? Every trailer park south of the Mason Dixon I have seen have been solid republican as well. It may be different up north. I couldn't say.

Nice try. But no, it's about the millions of dead babies. Plus most religious people hate all the politicians. They all work for the same people and have shares in the same companies. Anyone who is on one side of the aisle is the epitamy of ignorant and part of the reason the USA is being destroyed by politicians; they are taking sides of a political system that is corrupt in both parties. It's really just one big party pretending to be different.

3 She will not learn to be a wife and mother.
Career training is a masculine roll and will conflict with a woman's role to be a mother and homemaker, skills that aren't taught in college.

...

5 You don’t have to prove anything to the world.
Women, know your place and stay there, you don't have to prove that your smart.

So God wants women back in the kitchen?

Or maybe whoever wrote this is scared one day they may have to make their own sandwiches?

There are some of us that believe that the Roman Church formed Islam and they don't like women much. Rome/Annanuki, they toppled the equality, they threw veils on women and turned Sophia/Mother, and the way back home, the tree of life, with its roots going to the underworlds and the arms reaching for heaven, Unconditional Love, Equality and Goodness, into the temptress, fallen eve. They put dresses on priests instead and erected penis's everywhere as obelisks, sphinx, pyramid.

And beat the war drums, endlessly, for they don't want anyone to progress, or go back home, but intend to recycle souls as slaves.....
