How far are we away from all out war?

I live in the UK... I have been wondering about when people thing full blown war will start...?

Do people think were near to possible WW3...or is this just over thinking on my part?

We are always just a bad day and a pushed button away from World War 3.
We have been since the end of World War 2 when America and Russia were building stock piles of nukes to drop on each other.

With all the nasty toys created, the next world war won't have borders.

I wouldn't hold your breath, An all out war is not likely to happen. Proxy wars are the new big thing.

Besides, thrust me, you'l know how close it is when we are actually nearing the tipping point. the moment you see actors/news ancors feel uneasy when reporting news then you'l have a pretty good idea.

when you see big mall's like Wallmark empty or reducing its food then you'l know.

If there is, I think it will be more or less a worldwide pitting of people vs their governments rather than governments vs governments.

Something like that would be major, like "world war" major but I think it would technically be a "world revolution" or something.

Do you all think society will go backwards....?? World markets are in ruin...the middle east is getting worse....no country seems to agree...people are sick of there governing parliaments...

Thoughts?

The UK, USA, CHINA, RUSSIA et al are all to cowardly to go to War with each other, they know the outcome would be the end of Mankind and more importantly the end of the Gravy Train, so they do the next best thing...they fight Wars and settle their differences on someone else's patch....Shameful acts by Shameless People.

Society has already gone backwards for many years now, but yes, when stores are empty and people have nothing, it will be worse.

One could conceivably argue that the best way forward is World War 3....many of the largest and most powerful nations have large populations and each nation is naturally focused upon its own best interests for its people first (at least in theory ) so by removing a large portion of the population through a major war it would still be possible for the advancements in technology, medicine, etc to remain while at the same time freeing up drastically dwindling resources.

Remember that the entire premise of Star Trek is that after a large scale war that decimated the population the people first lived in ruins, but slowly began to rebuild a world that focused on the betterment of all people and not simply the betterment of those in each nation.

Oh for the love of, I gotta say, I got fooled quite a bit at first when Israel started its offensive against Palestinia, I was thinking oh crap, now they'v done it, here come the nukes.

Result: A fake truce that happened to play out quite nice for both Israel and Hezbollah.

Then we had NK and SK tensions, again I fell in this trap, I even pm'd a few members asking if they where as concerned as me, you know pressing the big red button, end times.

Result I don't know all, *** happened and the world kept on going on its delusional path of a working society.

Now we have this Syria conflict. At most a few missiles will hit, then come the drones, then comes puppet government, then the LNG deal is completed and TPTB can milk us another day.

Wishing for war isn't normal, nor should it be promoted.

As for my fellow members, I suggest talking to older people, those who witnessed the cold war, talk to some military personal.

Believe me when I say when SHTF you'l know.

It depends on your definition of all out war, I'd say. If you live in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea Region? They are probably closer than they have been since the 70's.

The rest of the world? Bahhh... When the kids start doing civil defense duck/cover drills again and cities go take the old moldy records out of their civil defense shelters? Lemmie know... World War may be getting to be a thing TPTB take seriously by then. It's hard to see it in those terms when once the Soviets could have killed the majority of us like a Dominoes Pizza Man. 30 minutes or less, guaranteed.

Don't get your hopes up. Building up something this large would mean we would see a sh*t load of movement in the higher regions. Ya know the elite. Stuff like the head of Samsung saying i'l be leaving for a trip in one week.
