They should just cancel all the other teams and have these 4 teams play over and over again. Or least have some hardcore screening process where they filter out all the crap players and coaches, they need to step up the level of quality, imo. To make the entire season as exciting as the playoffs.

Other then wrinkles in the offensive and defensive game plan the game doesn't change to much. The filter is the regular season. Only the coaches and players that preformed at a higher level get into the playoffs. And the excitement and intensity comes from that win or go home attitude and trust me, coaches would kill for players to play like that all season, and the great ones do. I'm all for just sticking the Niners right into the NFC champ every season though

I guess what I am asking for is an unrealistic ideal... Imagining if every team in the NFL was legit playoff caliber quality. Remove all the things that make bad teams bad, lol, is basically what im saying.

Well technically any team can beat any team any given sunday. That's why they play the games
I do get what you are getting at though. Free agency and the battle for who will pay you more is what ruins teams to me. You get guys that just follow the money and teams get picked apart as soon as they get everyone developed. If all players stayed with the same teams, competition would be a lot closer through out the league. Packers are a great example, they had something like 49( I don't think any other team even came close to 40) players that have never played for another team besides the packers. And that's why when rogers lost all his receivers the back ups were able to come in and produce. Now when they lost rodgers that's a different story
