The OP was referring to deficits, not debt. That is why I am duscussing the shrinking deficit

And Obama 'sternly' and 'emphatically' said he would cut the deficit in half during his first term.
He even had a full Democrat Congress his first two years too

well ?

[Hint: he was only off the mark by 500%]

Divide and Conquer awesome topic, just research it sometime.. It seems to work wonders... You really think how much money that is being spent has anything to do with what idiot is president?

Well considering Obama worships at the alter of statolatry , and by his own actions have lead to massive increases to those debts.

The last guy was an entirely different animal where the current guy seems to think it's government's job to pay for people's existence's that creates massive debt, and deficit's.

And YES the national debt and deficit's we run are a major threat to the current, and future well being of this nation.

There needs to be a major paradigm shift in thinking if this country is to survive.

read the links. that was taken into account. the fact is that Obama ran for POTUS knowing what the job would be ... knowing that Bush43 messed up the economy ... and yet Obama made it WORSE. Read the links.

... L
K !!

The unemployment rate seems to reduce under Republican Congresses.
Then a steady rise starting in 2007 (Democrat Congress)
Ditto with annual deficits.
And it is a fact that the economic mini-boom started falling soon after Democrats gained control of Congress in Jan 2007.

K !!

Again, you're ignoring the economic crisis. On top of ignorning that you're purposely attributing the 2009 deficit to Obama, when it was Bush who signed the budget for that year.

If you really want to make an argument, give me a chart going back to 1980 with how many jobs are lost under which congress.

Now is an economic crisis? I thought that we has been in an economic crisis since the Bush administration, ok, ok, I forgot that supposedly the government statistics shows that the economy is "improving" with more people receiving welfare under Obama than under any other president in the history of the nation.

But hey is Bush fault after 5 years of Obama?, perhaps one year after Bush it was still Bush budget, but Obama has been in power for 5 years, no, sorry but the economy now is all Obama.

The deficit is declining, and will be less than half of what it was when Obama took office. Every economic model shows this. Fine if you don't like Obama, but at least admit that you are using lies about his policies because it really is him that you don't like...

What?

We are actually holding our Presidents to higher standards, and their words?

Not only that, his supporters re-elect him AFTER his first 4 years of lies continued?

Not only that, many of Bushes Policies continued because Obama actually supports them?

/Sarcasm

In reality, he has made it worse, all the while using Bush as an excuse while using Bushes own policies to further his Agendas........Anyone who cannot see this, is blind.

“For three years, Senate Democrats have refused to produce a budget, as required by law,” Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said in a statement. “And today, they soundly rejected the president’s budget proposal which spends too much, taxes too much and borrows too much."

Senate rejects Obama budget in 99-0 vote

Wash, rinse, repeat.

What a Joke.

Really? so officially for all the 4 Yrs of Obama’s 1st Term figure the 2012 Deficit Was $1.087T?

Lets ignore the spending on Obamacare, Detroit, Yemen Air Droning, the Libyan intervention, military budget, aid to the Syrian friendly opposition that all equals to what?

And now you see why i dont believe the figures from the government?

Honestly? i dont believe the figures from the government. When they say its lower that usually means its higher. Remember what GW bush said after 9/11 said? "Go shopping" for those whom can afford.

And it seems Obama's Lippy Snippy attitude has been around for a while too.

Give Barack Obama points for consistency: he has always blamed Bush for the economy, even when it was humming along. In April 2003, Obama, then a state senator, attacked George Bush’s “attack on working families.” He called on Bush to “fix up the economy first” before he did anything else, like tax cuts. (Chinta Strausberg, “Obama to Bush: Fix up U.S. Budget First,” Chicago Defender, April 15, 2003).

Obama was particularly incensed by those tax cuts, telling the Chicago Defender, “If you don’t make $300,000 or more, you won’t benefit from this tax break.” He continued: “In the meantime, the tax cuts will create perpetual deficits and further depress an already bad economy. It will also prevent the funding of education programs, the job training programs that could put people back to work.”

Given the bad economy in 2003, Obama predicted that Bush would only be re-elected thanks to his “spin-masters, who are very good on focusing the public's attention on the war in Iraq, and they will do their best to keep the focus away from the economic disaster that is occurring in our communities.”
..............................
In August 2003, Obama continued to be “stunned” at the projected Bush deficit and what he perceived as the general poor economic policies of the day. “I think this is a testimony to the destructive and misguided fiscal policy of the Bush Administration.” Obama might well have been talking about himself.

A wee bit Huffy even waaay back then when HE was a State Senator (where he voted "present" something like 129 times too
)

Then why have four pages of argument if you've proven it? Who was the thread made for? Was this ever intended to be a discussion or just a social network-y sort of way for the OP to gather about five people to chime in, "Man, this guy is terrible."?

Nice twist

Didn't say I did.

Honestly don't consider 'Blame Bush' to be an 'honest' discussion.

Obama has not reduced the debt or deficits.

Take notice also...

When Republicans took control of the House (in Jan 2011) is when things started looking better for Obama (as miniscule as it is).
