Hello ATS!

I have a friend that I help analyze dreams for, letting him know what the symbolism means, etc.
(He has some of the most amazing dreams I have ever heard!) Until tonight I have never needed help, but this last one has me stumped.

In part of the dream there is a square, white sign above a door that has three dots in a line at the top, a horizontal line under them, and a name beneath the line. (He couldn't make out the name.)

I'm sure this symbol has meaning, and we would both like to know.
It sounds like something I've seen before, but I don't remember where.

Do we have any scholars in ancient writing here?
It almost reminds me of writing I've seen on UFOs on Ancient Aliens.

I'm hoping someone here can help me figure this out.

Thanks in advance.

This is the closest thing that I could think of...
www.greatdreams.com...

It's a religious thread, but without digging into many, many old links and saved pages and the like, this one was what I recalled. The name below could be part of some different symbolism, but the square with the three dots sounds a lot like the representation of the Holy Trinity above the Earth.

Good luck in your search!

Are the three dots at the top in a horizontal line with a line under them? Do you have a link to that?

Well, it was a spiritual dream, so I will dig around and see.

I didn't see any exactly as he described it on that page, but it is close.

Thank you for that link.

Hi Sled,
After I read your post, I drew your description of the symbol on a piece of paper, and it hit me, that I've have seen similar symbols to this one before:
The alphabet of the Angels
or
Names and their symbols of Angels
That would also explain why there was a name included in the symbol.

Check out this website to get an idea, and see if your friend can recognize the symbol or one very similar to it.

www.steliart.com...

Some of these symbols look similar to your description, and if it's not on the list, do your research on angelic symbols, and if you still can't find the symbol then I'd try demonic names and their symbols.

Best of luck with your search,

Trish

Thank you!
I have found it. It is the Mayan number 8.

But I appreciate the time you spent in answering, and I'm bookmarking that link. Good to have. Thanks.

That is a good link to bookmark too. It told me the square represents Earth.

So now I have a symbol for earth with the number 8 at at the top. Any ideas?

My birthday is 2 lines and 3 dots above. Stands for 13 and the symbol beneath that is the red cosmic serpent. I have it as a tattoo. Maybe he was reading up on Maya and didnt take note to the long count in his studies but did subconsciously.

Perhaps the number 8 could be his spiritual number.

As pertaining to this dream, these signs were hanging above certain "rooms" above a door.

So, now I know the square represents Earth, and I am wondering if the eight could represent when that person lived here, and the name under the line is the name of the person behind each doorway.

Does anyone know, according to ancient texts, how many times the Earth has been renewed?

Renewal of the Earth depends on which religion or race you want to listen to. The Mayan renewals are different to the cycles of Ragnarok, etc, etc.

Being that you're dealing with something that has underlying implications in Mayan tradition, i'd suggest researching how many cycles the Mayans say we're up to

www.sacred-texts.com...

That has some information about the structure of mayan dates. We're potentially in the first "full" cycle, but we're about 13 cycles in, according to the current Mayan date. SO, if a person were to exist in the eighth cycle, they would have been somewhere around 100 A.D to roughly 400 A.D.

Good idea.

Does anyone know the answer off the top of their head? I've been up all night, and my eyes are crossing.

ETA: Okay, so I found that, according to the Mayans, we are in the 5th Earth cycle.

Oh well...
There goes my theory that the number 8 could have something to do with where we are now.

I'll have to look into this, now that I know it doesn't represent the Earth's cycles. Thanks.

Yes, you are late.
