Is this moment a lie?

Knowing the complete truth is knowing how all the pieces come together, and no one knows the truth, because no one can track all of the pieces.

When one is seeing pieces then one is divided and will be in pieces.
The truth is complete, it is whole and does not need putting together. It is the mind that takes it all a part and then it tries to put it together again.
It was never a part really.
Life is alive right now.
There is nothing separate to life but the mind leads one astray.

This moment is as it is. It is only a lie if that is how you make it out to be, in your mind, your conscious awareness of the world.

Presence is all there is with ideas arising in it.
The ideas and concepts arising in presence can never make presence a lie.

Nothing in what I have written suggests that truth is in pieces.

Another key in gaining a functional understanding of truth, is not to constantly project ones own biases into what is being observed, known as the effect of the observer.

Yes, the mind does take it apart, because the physical limitations of our existence. Thus, in order to develop a well rounded understanding of the truth, we should observe this world from as many perspectives as possible, to gain as whole of an understanding as possible.

Sure, there are those who claim to be able to perceive the totality of the truth, but IMO, they are deluding themselves. Anything is possible, and maybe we are higher level multi- dimensional beings capable of taking it all in at a higher level than the working conscious we are capable of mustering on this plane. On a different subject I would argue that such a complete understanding would not be necessarily a good thing.

Sure they can. People delude themselves all the time. Bad data happens, and the observers often choose to ignore what is observed. The ideas are only as good as the data collected.

Nothing can arise outside presence - presence IS regardless of what arises in it.

The lies would be in the ideas and concepts.

There is reality

There is our perception of reality, our conscious.

There is the truth, how this world fits together.

There is our ability to see the truth.

There is our failure to see the truth.

Where do you place presence into the mix?

Presence is this moment that is alive. Past is dead and future is not yet.
What is real (reality)? Is past existing now, is future existing now? No, only the present ever appears to exist.

Seeing happens now and hearing happens now. Nothing can actually happen in a concept (past/future).
Presence is non conceptual but all concepts arise in it.

Consciousness is the ever present space in which all appearances appear.

Imagine trying to watch a television without there being a screen - you couldn't. To watch television there has to be a screen present for the picture to appear on.
Consciousness is like the screen on the television - it is the surface that the pictures (the image) appears on. When there are pictures moving on the screen the screen seems to disappear because one is taken by the moving form.
The screen is always present and the pictures on the screen are made of nothing but the screen.

It reminds me of this:

And the earth was waste and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep: and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Genesis 1;2

I think a good question worth answering is "What are we investigating when we we are looking for consciousness?"

Consciousness would be unique to each individual, since each individual has a slightly different brain structure and set of experiences.

Consciousness is the faculty of choice applied to sensation, perception, or cognition.

Logic implies consciousness as the activity of comparison, Comparison being the only thing our brains actually do.

According to one definition of Hypnotism, consciousness is the state of complete attention towards the current actual reality. Technically, when a task is being done, a person focuses attention on the task, at the expense of wider perception, which is a class of hypnosis. A totally conscious person is discerning reality to the best of his ability.

But there is a past, and a truth about the past, and what has happened in the past is very important, as is looking into the future. Life is about making assumptions based on past experiences, in order to predict likely outcomes in the future.

Consciousness is the awareness and abundance of the soul's energy.

Consciousness has varying degrees; atoms, elements, plants, animals, humans, 'angels', earth, universe, etc.

From verbal communication to the printing press to the phone, tv and now the Internet, human consciousness is constantly evolving. What's next?

Everyone has their own version of the past and everyone has their own ideas about future but versions and ideas are not truth.

If you are making assumptions then you have to realize that they are 'assumptions' - is an 'assumption' true - or is it a guess? You know deep down that they are nothing more than guesses and it is scary to rely on the minds assumptions. The mind is dual and one minute it says this and the next it says the opposite - the mind can never make up it's mind. Can the mind be trusted to know what's what?

You are always here and now and in this here and now you invent a past and invent a future - you make it all up.
Only this moment in which you project a past and future is true.

If you are splitting yourself across time you will feel divided (a fearful state). Only when it is realized that you are never not now will you feel whole and complete (love).

And everyone has their version of the present, what they believe is going on around them as it actually occurring is no closer to the truth than what they think happened in the past, or will happen in the future.

I feel like I am repeating myself here. There is the truth, the whole complete true alignment of reality, and then there is everyone's interpretation of the truth.

To deny the past is to ignore the truth about this world, and the same goes for the future.

Versions are not truth.
Words abstract the truth. Prior to words interpreting - the truth is hidden in plain sight.

There are many truths (not truth) about the past and the world and many ideas (not truth) about the not ever existing future.
All is projected now.
