YIKES !!!

How does the 'Path to Citizenship' work in Canada ?

We need to plan ahead !!

You are more than welcome my friend but the path to Canadian citizenship is not as easy as you would think due to recent immigration reforms. But, let me warn you, this place is just as messed up. I think the world notices it less due to our smaller population and lesser activity on the geopolitical stage.

I have no doubt in my mind that our current leader would cream himself at the thought of authorizing drone strikes. I mean, look at this guy!

But as MDDoxs said, a drinking contest will get you in

Perhaps it is you who should get your head out of your butt and realize that they are the same puppet with a different face. They do what they are told, they are figureheads. It frightens me that so many people still fall for the left/right, liberal/conservative, republican/democrat BS. These factors were created to cause divide as they conquer us.

What is with the 'Us' there?

Not an American are ya?

Do you think people like Bush or Obama actually have the mental capacity to run a country? Let's just completely forget about the people "behind the curtain" they don't matter

Lemme guess them evil zionist's?

Perhaps someone else needs to 'get their head out of something'.

On Topic which the above clearly didn't have a damn thing to do with before there was drones there were cruise missiles.

Hi Neon, good to see you bro

The "Us" was the world in general, in case you haven't noticed, your country is not the only nation that has affiliations which are meant to divide and conquer the populace. Out here we have NDP, Liberals, Conservatives as our main parties, we have left/right, and many other variables.

By the way, I lived in your country long enough where I could have gained citizenship if I wished to do so ( I clearly did not
). I also live on the border, and have a career where your country's political decisions affect me in a major way. To add, your nation's political decisions also affect my whole country. Since we are your allies we support you and NATO in places such as Afghanistan and Libya to name a few, heck we almost got dragged into Iraq.

Evil Zionists?

Well, in response to the OP's question to me, I mentioned several groups, including AIPAC who are Zionist extremists who leach off the American tax payer and influence American political decisions. These lobbyists are screwing up your country. So yeah, I would call them evil...just like the Bankers and other elite I mentioned.

Why aren't you mad at AIPAC Neo?

The only reason you even remotely mentioned a slight dislike for drone strikes is because it gives you a reason to bitch about Obama.

Take care buddy!

Yeah well don't think too much of political machinations rooted in deep political hatred that is just used for manipulation of people sold as fear porn.

The only reason you even remotely mentioned a slight dislike for drone strikes is because it gives you a reason to bitch about Obama.

The only reason you even remotely mentioned a slight dislike for the US is because it gives you a reason to bitch about Israel/zionist's.

Fixed for accuracy.

Anyone recall the story about the North Dakota cops who used the drone to arrest the man who would not return his neighbor's cattle? On Dec 13, 2011, a certain farmer refused to return cattle that had wandered onto his land from a neighbor's pasture. According to state law (apparently), when cattle end up on one's property without being fed (or something to this effect) they become the owner of the property's merchandise. When the family refused to return the cattle, the local PD sent in drones to stake out the area. Wonder how many other times someone's "livestock" has been scouted out by drones?

Obama has authorized 193 drone strikes in Pakistan – four times the amount authorized by George W. Bush. According to Global Research, over the past four years, Obama has authorized attacks in Pakistan which have killed more than 800 innocent civilians and just 22 Al-Qaeda officers.

That constitutes at least 36 civilians per target.

It doesn't matter if he was military trained or not, he is still the Commander in Chief. The ultimate responsibility lies with him. The military gives him options, he chooses which of those options he likes, or none of them and tells them to bring him more options. You're giving the military too much credit. They do what they do on the direction of the President.

So what was Bush? Both of them served in the military, both of them were militarily trained.

I think Americans like drones as these need minimum footprint in the area of operations.
There is strong continuity in policies of the US government under Bush and Obama. We cannot see much difference.

The problem with drones as with any military action is the correctness of intelligence. Innocent people die when such intelligence is defective.

Not only do these strikes kill but they also cause major damage, whether physical, mental, emotional, property, or all of the above. We're aware these strikes also kill innocent civilians, sometimes intentional, sometimes not. Drone strikes have increased greatly from Bush to Obama & the kill count is alway on the rise.

Once a strike has occurred the US doesn't have eyes & ears on the ground to what if they actually got their target but also no report of damage caused is sent either so all the innocents who are killed, maimed, & property destroyed receives no compensation at all.

Drones are coming to a country near you!

The same can be said about manned strikes as well. The problem with both is the intelligence, not the system dropping the weapon.

Speaking of which, the data for times for refueling manned flights are published (though of questionable reliability.)

*I mean, all you would have to do is ascertain where the flight came from, how many troops/pallets loaded/unloaded, and how much fuel with a reserve was needed to make the flight based on the profile of the vehicle in question.*

Yet the data for drones is still unavailable, why is that? It can quickly be ascertained by maximum observed range and the overall size of the drone based on scale from the common factory material shown in the background.

This can be used to find weight and pressure exerted on the airfield, as well as the structures used in construction.

Assuming you bother doing any of that, you could easily find out what size the fuel tank is and what it is made out of (hopefully not some exotic material. I digress,)

Heck, you could even compare the imagery of the exhaust system with a database using blahblahblah and find out the characteristics of the engine itself/range/speed/etc if it is in high orbit.

But rand is being slow about publishing such things. Any reason why? I mean, identification of flying objects is a big part of the bluejackets manual from WW2, which means it is even more standard now.

We all talk about UFO's, but never about how you can identify them. Is there a specific reason for the lack of techniques involved? Or is it just OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGMAAAATH!!!!! .

Know what I mean? I mean, how hard could it be?

Drones make war affordable. Drones make war nothing more than a budgetary item. Drones remove a person from the true horrors of war.

Drones are cheap.

I can't say enough of how effing bad drones are.

Back in the day, I used to think drones were great.

I'd draw little doodles on paper depicting them.

Since then, I've visualized what evolves in order to counteract drones, and the long term implications to transit of goods and items of interest.

They actually kinda suck merely based on the response cycle based on using them, both in terms of overt warfare and political movements.

*EDIT* and I'm not talking about shielding and EMPs.

War was once the ultimate option of last resort.

Not anymore.

Using drones now makes war an every day task. No harder than playing a game.

Look at other slave warriors.

Who used them.

What occurred as backlash due to their use.

Now factor in the rate at which information spreads and peoples independent manufacturing capability using old broken remotes.

Scary thought.

Perhaps the Janissary corps is a decent example? blahblahblahblahblah.

You may want to reevaluate your thought process, because you are a bit off.

By the time we get to the end of your post, you are still making the excuse that Obama holds no responsibility in drone strikes because he has no military expertise and relies on what he is told by his own experts.

Pass the buck, that's what it is called. That's the sign of a good leader, right?

We have to believe that when he looks at 800 innocent civilians killed to get 22 terrorists, he says, 'I don't know anythig about military affairs, but they tell me it is good, so there.'

Yeah, but that isn't the drones fault. That is the fault of policy.

The fact of the matter is the drone excels at killing things.

The POLICY of their use however, is what leads to a breakdown of structure.

0bama, as you call him, is just following advice from the same military brass that forced Shrub into Iraq and to increase drone use.

Gonna blame someone, blame the right group. US military and defense contractors are responsible for everything drone-related.

The military forced Shrub into attacking Iraq? Wrong. It was the civilian neocons and their Zionist-planned Project for a New American Century that forced the military into coming up with an under-resourced plan for invading Iraq and executing it.

Obama doesn't have to take the advice or prodding of the military either. The drone war is now Obama's war.
