Continuing the now closed Monkey thread here

Here is a baby Monkey getting fed

My mother has just seen this one and said "Oooo look you when you was a baby"
cheeky chimp she is.

Now a little sad one
shows they have emotions just like us)

Lets keep this thread alive to show our evolutionary pals that we love and care for them.

The cuteness factor of the baby monkey is off the scale
You must have been a very cute baby BoyMonkey, your mother must have been very proud

But the other video was so sad... Reminded me of the picture in the other thread last night of the troop of chimps mourning the loss of one of their friends.. Actually made me cry...

I was just thinking, top of my list for my next holiday is gorilla trekking in Rwanda or Uganda... Any members here done it?? I haven't yet because my other half isn't interested and he wouldn't let me go on my own thinking it's so dangerous, plus it's bloody expensive....

This one (may as well repost because the other thread is dead)

She must have been a well respected and loved member of her troop. I bet they still miss her.

Its the fact they are all supporting each other by putting an arm around their pal etc, you could put humans in the same picture and we would all look so similar to them.

Here's a pic of me getting a kiss off Ronnie, one of the oldest chimps at the sanctuary I volunteered at...

He was a sweet old fella but still a bit naughty, he had a habit of playing with his old boy a bit, especially when us ladies were around, typical man

Wow! That was a nail-biting video, I honestly did not know what that silverback was going to do... although I think deep down I knew he wasn't going to harm the little boy...

Reminded me of this thread.

Yeah he was... I can't recall his story but no doubt it was a sad one, as they all were...

This little guy, a marmocet, had a particularly sad life. He was the pet of a drug dealer who used to regularly drug him for entertainment purposes... Messed him right up. He would constantly shake, couldn't focus his eyes at all and was very unsteady on his feet. He was the only monkey who was kept indoors in the sanctuary headquarters because he was so delicate, note his luxury spot in front of the roaring fire
