You don't remember correctly. THe investigation was halted while the criminal trial was in process. After it was over, the investigation resumed.

Yes but the 1983 law only applies to two instances: Color of Law (which this is not) and murder based on solely on RACE. Neither of those apply to this case. Over, done, case closed... move on...

In a free country that insists on a just legal system a jury should have final say with no interferance from the goverment or media.
